Why try and start shite with the doghouse crap? He just got passed up, simple.

I’m not trying to be funny, but I just don’t think his style of play translates well to the SEC. He’s only around 5’10”, 180 pounds, he’s already shown some fumbling issues, and with that frame, I don’t see him being much of a factor as a blocker. I think he could do great things at a place like SMU, though.

Maybe he just needs to mature a little more, he may be a beast next year who knows time will tell

You obviously didn't see him in high school. He was all of a buck 70 his senior year. Put on 20 pounds in the last 2 years. Good kid. Hope he finds a place to succeed, either in BR or elsewhere.

Kiffin prefers having a bell cow RB. I think the biggest reason is he likes to line up quickly from play to play, which gives the coaching staff more time to talk to the QB while they're lined up and can see what the defense is doing, since the coms turn off at 15 seconds on the play clock. Another thing is that by doing this, you don't allow the defense to sub since they have to line up quickly as well which can tire them out and keep them on their heels.

So if you're going to operate this way and have a bell cow RB that stays on the field for the majority of the plays, that RB has to be more than just a fast guy. He needs to block, he needs to have durability and endurance to stay on the field that long continuously, he needs to have good vision and patience, etc, etc. I don't think it's so much that they're in the "doghouse", more than it's just the fact that Jones fits that role better than either Durham or Berry. If the staff preferred a more committee-based approach like other staffs do, you'd probably see them more.

No he doesn’t. They just have to be sturdy. There are sturdy, smaller backs. I don’t think that is Harlem.

I think he’d be on the field more if his skillset didn’t overlap with guys like Eugene Wilson
