We got it so wrong for the same reason we are going to get it wrong with the next hire; hiring based on past success rather than potential.
And, yes, it includes the current Ole Miss coach. Hiring him is more cash thrown down the toilet.

Most coaches have quit on their teams. That is how they advance in coaching.
A lot of players quit on their teams for the moola. What do you think about them?

re: Does Nuss actually have a go to receiver?

Nuss had all the potential in the World destroyed by the disastrous failure of his coaches and his acceptance of their misdirection instead of going into another program willing to accept his value rather than attempting ignore his talents and forced him into game plans that were unsuccessful and a football program that could not adapt even after failure was the only product of their efforts.
The University, the coaches and Nuss were all co-conspirers to the collapse of this football program and Nuss bears the bulk of his financial collapse of his future in football and his collapse as a person who was a Heisman candidate one year to one of the worst quarterbacks in Division One football.

No, he is not.
Landry did talk to Jon Gruden last week and there might be some movement there.

Most of us saw the stupidity of hiring Kelly when it occurred but the simple fact that Oregon had given up coaching after he decided there was nothing he could do to surpass his resume of 2019 and tanked the entire program led fans to overlook all of what you described.
The buyout clause by this AD was a lot more than ignorance. It was a designed fraud on the University.

If Saban comes back it will be for the scam buyout clause that LSU and Auburn are famous for.
Sign for a hundred million, put out a crappy product and get another hundred million buyout bonus.

The bottom line is that the person who was arguably the worst head coach to ever field a team in div one coached arguably the best team to ever play in college football.
This leads to the current paradigm that these multimillion dollar salaries and payouts to these coaches is money down the drain when the actual available money should be going to the players.

He is also leaving out the part that the AD of LSU is nothing more than a fraudster of the same ilk as the Nigerian Prince who will send you a fortune if you only put up a few dollars for his expenses.

The entire team collapsed. LSU has major problems starting with the coaches hired. Just think we could have gotten Bill Belichick. That is probably the only other option even considered by our inept AD.

Not a fan of ESPN but I sure can't blame them for not showing this turkey.
Kelly says you people know nothing about football.
He knows it all.
And, he has scammed the university out of millions so he must know a lot about fraud also.

re: The One Word to describe BK’s tenure at LSU: REACTIVE

There is a coach that misuse the quarterback and force him to follow schemes he is not sure of and there is a head coach that becomes irrational and lashes out : “Those who criticize me don’t know anything about football. All they do is sit on the sidelines and chatter. A few losses cannot define an entire season.”
Any head coach that is paid millions must never accept a few losses every year.

You dance with the one you brung. He has to plow with the mules he brought in and a mobile QB is not in the mix and is an obvious drawback to the running game. The hype of Nuss does not match the actual output.
He did not spend all those years in coaching not to see what he has and how to use the tools to win games. That is what he is doing.

It would look a lot bigger compared to the micro wedge you are trying to put in it.

Don't forget the success they had with the last LSU coach they stole...and Ed Orgeron did say he wanted back in.

You are right. The announcer said they were ACC refs at the start of the game.

Clemson is not in the SEC. The blind refs were also not in the SEC.
