. . . or is the "Berry in space" portion of the playbook yet to be revealed? Those little drag clear-outs that Winston has been feasting on seem ideal for Berry.

Lane is very clear about his expectations around practicing and playing. That goes into who plays as much or more than actual talent.

No idea what's going on with Harlem, but if he's still having ball security issues in practice/scrimmages, that's the quickest way to stay sidelined.

If he gets in space he is dangerous. I just think current staff values the ability to run in between tackles and pass pro

its more of the notion that the top 2 backs are much better in pass protection. LK talked about this already

He’s not an all around back. Needs to work on pass pro supposedly. Also, is he that durable?

I think he just got passed up on the depth chart by bigger and stronger players.

Not sure if he’s not that good in Lane’s system or in general. Or if our other guys are just better.

Lane wants power backs, and the reality is DJ & SG are better fits than HB & CD.

I, like everyone else, had really high hopes for Berry (and Durham) and there's still time, but it's hard to imagine either benig a big piece of this offense in 2026 barring an injury.

Could it be that he is simply not strong enough for the SEC defenses he would face?

Hopefully we're so far up that he gets playing time in the fourth quarter

It also looked to me that he wasn’t hitting holes like Dilin. It also didn’t look like he moved as well.

He’s not that physical a back…yet. If he takes the coaching and keeps working hard in the weight room, he’ll be fine. But there’s a chance he’s at Ole Miss next year with Frank, if he doesn’t. We are taking 3 running backs in this class so that sort of tells you what they think of the room at the moment.

While i think everyone can agree there is a large portion of unseen playbook that was saved for this game, you don't completely relegate a guy to Special Teams if he's going to be featured in a game this big.

I’m not worried about Lane being able to find a RB. He knows what to look for. There’s 2-3 guys on the roster he’d rather have than Berry right now. So if he goes, he goes. I’ll be honest, I don’t think Lane cared that much about keeping him except to keep him from going to Ole Miss at the time for optical reasons. It’s kind of obvious at this point. Or he may have cared then, but after spring and fall camp, doesn’t now.
