But none for a guy that gets a 5th year because he had a cold for a week

So will these punishments be applied to Nate Oats and Bama?

damn....
But like Kiffin said, they (the SEC) can't decide which court orders it wants to listen to or obey. Its all arbitrary at this point.

All these can apply to future players.

So an effective death penalty.
Now let's see what the court system has to say about it.
ETA ( This is clearly a shock and awe tactic by Sankey and the SEC brass)

This seems like an odd distinction. Very little difference between Colton Hutson at Texas & Pyburn/Harris/etc but Hutson is allowed to play?

All that is fine going forward, but they are just too damn hardheaded and obtuse to capitulate this is a very unique one-time only situation.

Greg Sankey is a whiny crimson dictator. He reminds me of Prince John from the Disney Robin Hood cartoon.

i'll say this, it's the first time he's shown any balls since he got the job.

Get a DA to criminally charge Sankey and falsify evidence. Throw him in Angola and take the conference over to be ran by LSU.

It's ok if you suck and no one wants you in the draft. If you're good and get drafted you're SOL

Those guys didn't get drafted either.

This is getting so damn stupid. frick the NCAA and SEC leadership and their boneheaded decisions.

As usual. Totally reactionary with minimal forethought.
Sankey is going to draw the SEC into antitrust lawsuits (which were always kind of bubbling below the surface) which is only going to further expose the reality SEC football and basketball is nothing more than a highly lucrative entertainment business. Then again, maybe the plan is to initiate that fight sooner rather than later.

I would walk away from this sh!t. Not worth taking the chance to trash the whole season. We have a great roster without these 2 players. Not smart to hurt the whole team and coaches over two ex pro players joining the team late in the season 10 days before game 1.
