So my guest and I were discussing the amount of no shows while at the game. We had several theories. Let me know which one you are in:

1. Dealing with aftermath of Ida
2. Go woke go broke (are you eating the money this year and canceling next year?)
3. Covid restriction - do not have the vaccine to enter the stadium
4. COVID restriction - have the vaccine but despise the principle of requiring proof.
5. Protest of Tate hire.
6. Trying to sell the tickets for any of the reasons listed above, but cannot find a buyer for the first two games.
7. Awaiting a refund from LSU, so you are not using or selling the tickets.

I have never seen so many no shows in TS.

You forgot that we aren’t very good and people don’t want to go watch a bad football team play a team like central michigan

Lots of tickets bought by companies one way or another. All the games on a year like this given away to anyone except the Auburn Florida and Aggie games. I had 4 and a parking pass given to me. Problem is games like this involve bringing kids. Lots a
Families have the vaccine but not the kids. The vaccine or test for those 12- 17 kills the ability to give them away.

I have season tickets and live a good ways away. I have not been able to sell two of my four. I am sure Covid restrictions and a poor product or the reasons why. They used to be easy to sell until Miles started the downward spiral.

Anyone in either of these 2 camps is a fricking loser.

I love a good principled stand. The last 2 games I have refused to get “prechecked” and would have turned around at the gate should they have asked for my proof of vax or negative test.

But guess what? They aren’t fricking asking for it. So I waltzed right in.

If you aren’t coming to campus because of the principle of the rule you are a lazy arse.

I have been a season ticket holder for the past 18 years. I had 12 season tickets now I’m down to six season ticket. I cannot go to any of the games this year due to knee replacement recently. I can’t find anyone who wants the tickets and parking pass at no cost. Most because they are not vaccinated some because they don’t like the idea of being forced to be vaccinated or show proof and others just not interested in the team this year. Pretty sad for a big-time college football program. I also think that a lot of fans are spoiled from playing in for national championships in the last 18 years and do not like the rent a win games. I think they’re all cool to have because it gives you an opportunity to bring others to a game who really don’t care who we play they just want to be a part of the atmosphere. Some for the first time to experience the atmosphere.

Few have the willpower for this to be a reason. People love to shitpost during the off-season but they are too addicted to a game to make a principled stand. They are just feckless bitchers.

The blue hairs have sat out a vast majority of 100%
of the non-marquee games for decades. They hold all the prime seats on the West sideline and make their appearance 2-3 times per year to see and be seen. And even for the big games, there will be many open seats in that area. There should be an attendance requirement or they forfeit those seats the following season.

This season though, if you don’t think people are staying away in droves due to the Draconian entrance requirements implemented by Comrade Tate and Honor Choade, then you are kidding yourself. Many people (raises hand) quit going when LSU screwed up tailgating and parking and failed to address traffic, others continued on, but add in bad concessions and having to show papers at the gate, and those already on the fence got pushed over.

This is not stopping anyone from going in... you could show them your 1st grade report card and they would take it, if they even ask

Was wide open and unrestricted aside from fenced off places. The odd part of yesterday with the small crowd was that the big tailgates were going strong

I’m LSU to my bones. I’m just not giving LSU any of my money, right now, for a few reasons on your list. Yes I’m vaccinated, Yes it’s a bad team, but other reasons.

The bigger games will draw more but less than normal. I do think tailgating for big games will be packed

I have extra tickets for this reason. I take guests and longtime friends to the games who do not have tickets. They love it, especially their kids. I think k most people have the mindset that if they give the tickets to someone they want money for them, and don't have any takers. My guests pay me back down the road with dinners, favors, other events, etc.

I was there for the second week in a row. I’ve not done that years. It just so happen that I am visiting friends and was able to do this without much hassle. Even parking abs leaving the game was fine.

I do miss the atmosphere and what the Stadium should be like every game.

8. It’s a long drive to make from Shreveport two weeks in a row with the RV when your team might get smoked by a terrible team.

All the holders around me came or gave away tickets. My section had a crowd.

I’m on call every 3rd week with work and can’t leave the NOLA area. That’s why I wasn’t at last nights game. I will also not be able to make the UL Monroe game for the same reason. I was at McNeese and will make every other game though.
