Then why even make it a requirement? Seems like phony virtue signaling. Vaccinate, don't vaccinate. it's each individuals choice. not Government.

3. Covid restriction - do not have the vaccine to enter the stadium
4. COVID restriction - have the vaccine but despise the principle of requiring proof.
5. Protest of Tate hire.
6. Trying to sell the tickets for any of the reasons listed above, but cannot find a buyer for the first two games.
7. Awaiting a refund from LSU, so you are not using or selling the tickets.

8. None of the above. Not everyone has to have a political reason for not attending a football game.

For me personally, it is

-opponent/cupcake
-meh/poo start to LSU’s season

And honestly it really boils down to opponent, because even if we suck I’m going to normal P5/SEC games

But when you combine cupcake opponent + LSU seemingly average team it really makes it worse and not worth the hassle to get myself out there for the creampuff games. I’ll be there for Auburn regardless what we do against State.

Actually, you’d be the moron of you don’t think it plays a factor. I said this last week, but when the team wins, a lot of things get swept under the rug. When the team loses like it did at UCLA and plays like shite like it did against McNeese, then things like bad weather, bad concessions, overpriced parking, bad traffic, COVID regulations, etc., all become more important.

I was at the Rose Bowl in California, one of the most liberal-sympathetic states in the country, and there were no COVID regulations at the Rose Bowl other than wearing a mask to enter the stadium. And the mask mandate wasn’t enforced inside the stadium. So why does LSU have a vaccine or negative test requirement for an outdoor venue in Louisiana, which is actually a red state when you consider the Legislature is Republican controlled in both chambers? The COVID regulations are political, to drive up vaccination numbers to make the Democratic governor of this state look better in the eyes of his party. And he pretty much controls who’s on the LSU Board of Supervisors.

If you don’t think the COVID restrictions piss some people off to the point of staying home instead of showing up to watch a mediocre team, you’re not very smart.

1. Terrible 2020season
2. Hopes dashed by embarassing season opener
3. Home opponents so far uninteresting

Having said that I went to both games and will attend all this year. All will be fixed when we are winning again. I am in for the long haul and look forward to improving my seats when all y'all in OP's 2-7 give yours up. Geaux Tigers!!

I just didn't feel like going. No reasons. But its amazing how so many "tough" guys are offended by things so easily.

I live Southwest of Houston and I don't come to the cupcake non-conference games, but my tickets are always used until this year. I tried to give them away to friends in BR area and nobody wanted them. Tried to sell them cheap on Stubhub and didn't sell either.

I lost my hotel for Auburn and now I'm looking at $300+ per night for a room. That trip is not looking good, but I'm going to try to be there.

I did go to the Rose Bowl and when flights, hotels, rental car to Los Angeles for 3 nights is cheaper than driving to Baton Rouge for 2 nights, I have to think long and hard about making the trip.

8. My stay was cancelled, and it's a long drive from north Georgia to not have a planned stay.

That being said, I typically stay in NOLA for the bigger games, and thus far those haven't been cancelled.

They didn’t even say anything about covid when I went into the game, I’m unvaxed and all they did was scan my tickets and say enjoy the game. The school makes it a big deal and acts like they enforce the regulations but they don’t.

There are a lot of conservative LSU fans. They are pissed off about a lot of things right now and have not had much opportunity to express their frustration

Skipping LSU football is their version of Dems across the country wearing pussy hats after Trump was elected. A way to express outrage

Tate stupidly employing the vaccination mandate for no apparent purpose pushed a lot of people over the edge. It gave them an outlet for protest

There were less than 50,000 people in that stadium at kickoff. Looked like a spring game other than the student section. I have never seen it so empty and it isn’t because we lost to UCLA. That would explain maybe 10,000 people

The "gray haired " sections have been no showing for yrs now. Those original season ticket holders have long ago passed them down to family members, to a large degree a much younger generation that has no true dyed-in-the-wool loyalty. As well, any season ticket not renewed automatically goes to TAF who turns around & sells it to corporate interests, another group with no long term loyalty. I can't speak as to thousands feeling this way, but the LSU's administration bending over to BLM, et al is a factor for more than a few. Add to the shrinking attendance the fact that the student body has for decades now, been bailing out at half time. Many of that age group are now of season ticket age & are used to leaving early.
