re: I believe we could see better QB play than the last 2 years. - tigersquad89
But Jameis was playing for coaches who put their QB’s in bad situations. That’s not what Payton does. When the decisions are easier to make you probably make less poor decisions ...

I believe we could see better QB play than the last 2 years. - tigersquad89
So I’ll preface this by saying I’ve been a die hard supporter of Brees through everything. He’s the greatest player in franchise history and I would support him staying as long as he wanted for what he’s done for the Saints. It’s no secret that Brees body the last two years has been the saints bi...

re: Kwon Alexander Practicing - tigersquad89
We need a linebacker but with how little cap space we have I’m not sure it’s worth gambling on a guy that’s been injury prone. If he goes down we are left with just Demario ...

re: The argument of trading first rounders for an experienced QB - tigersquad89
The amount of people willing to give up 4 first round picks for an old QB is mind blowing. OP listed a bunch of our poorer picks. But you can look at guys like ramczyk and Lattimore. This team could add Rodgers and would not win a championship without those guys ...

Imagine having Chase, Marshall, Boutte, and Gilbert in your receiver core. - tigersquad89
That would have been such a lethal receiver room. I don’t think it would have mattered who you put at QB. Nobody was stopping those guys if you added chase into the mix....

Well that settles it. Betting my kids college fund on LSU winning it all....

re: The argument of trading first rounders for an experienced QB - tigersquad89
You would give up 3-4 first rounders for a guy who may play 4 more years? I’d give up one first and that would need to be the next years because I know we would be competing for a championship....

re: Saints tried to trade up for Horn or Surtain - tigersquad89
Why would this make you think lattimore is pricing himself out? Couldn’t this simply be that they have a massive hole in the other side at corner?...

re: Mel Kiper gives us 2nd lowest grade in the draft - tigersquad89
Mel Kiper is a moron. There is a reason he’s not in a front office. This is the same company that treats Stephen A Smith as an expert. He also said the saints trading up to draft Kamara was a reach....

re: Rd 7 - Pick 255 - Kawaan Baker / WR / South Alabama - tigersquad89
Thank goodness they drafted a receiver. I thought Payton and Loomis were going to get fired if they didn’t. Saints talk has so many good GM and coach candidates on Saints Talk that they are on the hot seat....

re: Saints traded up to 206 and selected Landon YoungOT Kentucky traded 2 picks still have 255 - tigersquad89
Well considering how rare it gets to hit on a player the later you go it’s not a bad idea to move those later picks....

Solid pickup for some depth at tackle if Armstead gets hurt....

re: Ian Book hits all 7 of Parcell’s rules for drafting a QB - tigersquad89
Yeah this was more just to inform people. Doesn’t mean he will be a great NFL QB. He most likely will only play in a blowout or in dire circumstances. But you never know. Sometimes you strike gold....

re: Melt Time: Saints draft Notre Dame QB Ian Book with 4th round pick. - tigersquad89
Now this will really get some reactions. I honestly don’t care either way about this pick. I would have preferred somebody at a position that can have an impact. Book will most likely just be a body for a backup....

re: Got our help on D...what WRs are left now? - tigersquad89
Winston’s issue was never really accuracy. It was always decision making. Bad decision making can’t be fixed by having a stacked receiving core. I mean the Bucs had a stacked receiver room and he still threw a ton of picks....
