Phil needed to retire already. He had LSU at #12 last year and as having a better than average shot at the playoffs. Also he rated Kelly as one of the top SEC coaches, and totally dismissed Vandy and had them only ahead of Miss St. We all know how that went down

Personally, I rather us be under ranked than over ranked. I'm tired of not living up to the hype year in and year out. Rather the rise to the top than a fall.

I think he ranks the teams in order of how they will finish the season.If you think LSU new staff ,half the team is portal players ,will just come out and kick arse you are dreaming.Even Joe B. had inconsistency his first season.More experienced teams with talent OM,A@M,Texas,etc. will take advantage of our inexperience.

What has LSU done recently to warrant a high ranking. I’m a Tiger but I could easily argue that LSU hasn’t lived up to a preseason ranking any more than ND has in recent years.

Navy ahead of LSU is pretty amazing
They must have a hell of a team, or you know what maybe Phil is right. Maybe we are just not that good. Cant wait to beat Clemson like a drum week one and stuff it in the mouth of all these idiots.

That’s what I don’t get. He puts LSU at 22, but Alabama at 8? Seriously?! There is no way Alabama is 14 spots netter than LSU. No way!

Not as an important factor considering how teams are utilizing the portal.
