For people that grew up on the left side of the infield, it is actually a really hard transition… this doesn’t make you look great…

Because he did what every other successful program at the time was doing? Our AD was just the only one to bend the knee to the irrelevant NCAA.
Kelly should be right under Archer. Maybe even above him. Rest of the list is dead on for most of us, I’d assume.

I have said none of the above. Again, I don’t get why yall are acting like I’m saying fire Yeskie or something. I’m just saying through 8 games, he has his work cut out for him to get some of these guys on track, it’s not just last night, there are inconsistencies across the board minus Saturday starts, Guidry, and Sheerin. Which is absolutely possible, if not even probable.

I’m not acting like anything. I think you just want to belittle someone. All of yall are acting like I’m saying fire Yeskie and I’m not. I’m saying this was a coaching moment, and he has some work to do with these guys. He has historically done that. But it is concerning that only 3 guys have pitched well consistently through 8 games. I don’t understand why yall are acting like I’m saying burn everything down when I’m simply saying Yeskie has his work cut out for him to get some of these guys back on track.

I’m saying that Yeskie needs to work with these guys and improve them as the pitching coach? If you don’t think command has a ton to do with preparation and creating a repeatable and consistent motion to the plate, I don’t know what to tell you and all these down voters. That many guys being erratic on the bump, hitting batters, and walking people in big moments 100% has something to do with Yeskie and his job. I’m not saying fire him, I’m saying he’s got his work cut out for him.

Nawww. Yeskie needs to earn his paycheck with these arms though. Not a lot of bright spots on the bump tonight lol.

re: The Reaves experiment has got to end

I’m now on the bandwagon. Tanner Reaves is a defensive liability and looks absolutely lost at the plate. It’s time to park him on the bench.
It’s a midweek game and he has to keep more than his starters focused. It’s a good move to get guys like Reeves and Pearson AB’s

I feel like I remember 95 out of him, but everything he threw was super flat and got rocked, so he was dependent on off speed a lot in his few appearances for us.

Yep two once strong programs playing trash softball, nothing to see here.

It’s funny because it’s true up there lol.
If you listen to game flow and memorize the situation, you get the info at the same time that your eyes would get it. I think this is just a mental block for you.
He doesn’t have great stuff or great control? Tell me you don’t know baseball without telling me you don’t know baseball. He was one of, if not the best at locating pitches on last year’s natty team. He was widely considered the best reliever in baseball for most of last year. Yes, he has a very mediocre fastball, but he has an MLB level change up and keeps the ball down. These posts are so ignorant, your posting privileges should get removed.
Dude tried to stab a coach at Barbe and we backed out on him. We didn’t “miss”.
Dude have you watched him play or just saw he’s thick? The dude can move and has fantastic hands.

Everyone acts like Maddux couldn’t break glass, yet he was consistently 94 when he started with the Cubs. That was a pretty good FB back then.

He’s always been strictly relief. Homie doesn’t know how to pace himself to survive more than a couple innings, plus he’s really only a two pitch mix.
