re: Louisiana at it again - Allowing NFL players back in college.

I wonder if Diego Pavia considers this option if cut from NFL roster.
Two of his six years playing were at junior colleges.
Technically he would be eligible for fifth year.

Former South Carolina safety DQ Smith is part of a group of 16 football players who joined a lawsuit

That's a bit of a reach don't you think? He's gaining with independents but most remain undecided from what I've seen.
Overall, based on most recent poling, the race is predicted to be close. That said, polling results are less accurate now more than ever.
It's hard for me to believe Texans will vote in favor of a candidate who has stated God is nonbinary and prochoice, who wants to reduce meat consumption (quoted during his 2022 campaign " Our campaign has officially become a non -meat campaign"); and who is a climate change activist, a position adverse to the oil industry.
He's Beto 2.0, a charismatic flake.

What if Judge Parker didn’t order desegregation of public school system.
Edit- Didn’t see other post.

Who cares if you lost only 5 games instead of 6 or 7 at LSU.
When did Jayden lose five games at LSU?
He had 10 and 9 win seasons.

Ole Miss is happy about that preseason list haha wow. They got no chance or winnning a title this year
AP hasn’t released that list, OP per usual making things up.

making the conference championship game, winning a CFP road game and losing to the first team in history to go 16-0 puts a coach on the hot seat then every coach in this league should be on one
If he has his third four loss season in a row, he’s on the hot seat.
Alabama has higher standards and expectations than that.

Ole Miss has both this preseason

I watched his highlights vs Mississippi St and I did in fact, not see this.
Did you watch Burrow against Mississippi State in 2018?

LSU lost around 50 players to the NFL draft, exhausted eligibility, and the portal
Kiffin’s teams at Ole Miss had similar attrition the last three seasons.
NIL has changed everything.

But Lame Kiffin's first year record at every stop as a HC did not mount to one of the top teams ever.
11-3, first year at Florida Atlantic. Best for that program. It’s all relative.

I imagine pool owners would jump at the opportunity to recoup some of the maintenance and installation costs. If it’s only a couple hours once or twice a week, that’s not bad
Costs less than $100 a month to maintain ours. I’d be concerned about liability.

Are other teams using these as well or just LSU?
Yes, Bama and Clemson are two that I’m aware of.

Yes. Miami paid him more money to help him pay the buyout.
If you do mental gymnastics hard enough you can rationalize that this doesn’t count as Miami paying the buyout. However you need to spin it.
Maybe, but the distinguishing factor regarding both matters is that Duke was actively paying Mensah and Ole Miss had not distributed payments to Umanmielen and Harper.
As you have speculated, and are most likely correct, Miami funded deal to cover buyout.
It is also believed, based on Ole Miss’ lawsuit seeking early termination penalties, that Princewell and Devin were not paid.

You can't trap someone in a one sided, exclusivity contract with zero consideration.
It may run contrary to public policy, similar to a Non Compete Agreement which can be difficult to enforce depending on circumstances.

Darian Mensah. Hope this helps
“Miami funded an unprecedented $10 million total NIL package for Mensah, which effectively provided him with the capital to pay Duke a multi-million dollar settlement out-of-pocket to exit his exclusive contract.”
So Mensah paid via his NIL earnings?

Or they would just transfer to a school that pays buyouts for their players. This isn’t hard.
Honest question, I see this constantly reposted. What schools have paid buyouts for rev sharing contracts? It became effective in July of 2025.
I’ll hang up and listen.
