So they’re going to expel LSU for rostering a player who got cut in preseason but it’s totally fine and not an issue at all for all the other teams to roster guys who went to NFL minicamps or basketball players who signed 10-day contracts?

Absolutely absurd.

This is the first time that it’s a lose lose. Either the media is being biased or the SEC is being biased. It’s one of the other plain and simple. It’s objective fact.

The outrage against LSU seems more petty which screams Ole Miss. Texas is doing a very similar thing and there is ZERO outrage against them. They aren't even mentioned as getting possible sanctions brought against them but here we are....seems like Ross isn't being totally transparent, I expect all this comes from the same school's "spokesman." Maybe some others were involved but with the amount of schools who reached out to the same or other potential players it seems very unlikely.

I haven't been following this closely. What schools in the SEC are actively rostering players who initially left for the NFL?

Even further than the last time?

Dellenger sure has become a little "click bait bitch."

Or is it more likely Dellenger is falsely framing this for max engagement?

Kiffin drives clicks. That's why. Nobody cares about any of these other schools, because they don't have the lightning rod as the head coach. People are still extremely bitter about him leaving OM in the playoff run.

I don't think this information is fully accurate. It states the possibility of Federal litigation. There's already a Federal case on this matter. The TRO there was struck down on appeal but the case is proceeding and in its early stages. Why do you have to discuss bringing legal action? Why not just do it...go to that judge and see what happens. That makes no sense.

I also don't see how they think it's best practices to leak this. If this information is accurate, then it can be argued that the SEC is actively attempting to defy a court order. That could make what is probably going to be an 8-figure settlement morph into a 9-figure one.

No, the info from the weekend where the SEC says they will comply with the court and fight this legally makes a lot more sense.

I think the SEC is mad that the letter about compliance leaked and they want to appear to act tough. That's why the silliness of this information focused solely on LSU.

Why am I getting the same feeling I get when my 6 year old tells me that he’s going to put ME in timeout if I don’t let him have extra screen time.

Oh, it’s because they’re acting like toddlers because a higher authority holds the power.

No they're going to expel LSU for trying to figure out a way to spend $100 million of football every year when they don't want to have to keep up this is consistently been about keeping up with LSU they have been trying to criticize LSU's Neil contract everything since LSU started spending this money they're basically trying to intimidate LSU into backing down and plan by the same rules as everybody else but again they're more than welcome to spend that much money they just don't want to and if LSU does it then they have to do it

At the moment, the law of this country is on the players' side. We are just following the law. Do these other schools not believe in our court system and the laws of our country??

Lane already said if the decision is reversed by the court, he will follow the court's ruling and not play these athletes. What am I missing here?

Also, the SEC and Sankey are completely full of shite with saying the schools voted unanimously to not take any of these players. So now everything they say is clearly tainted and can't be trusted.

I don't care if you play pro ball right out of high school.
5 to play 5 is all you have for college regardless of if you were able to make a pro team.
You pay college kids now so times have changed.
5 to play 5...period

2022 layers are the only ones impacted. If denied the 5th year of eligibility I could see a massive lawsuit against the NCAA and participating conferences
