2009.
I was an engineer straight out of college in the oil field.
I was on a Jack up rig in the GOM running fishing tools that weekend.

Did not get to go to the game, had to sit and watch completely sober….
I was so mad…..

1994 - LSU and Southern Mississippi. LSU just intercepted the ball that would have sealed the victory. However, instead of falling down and allowing the offense to let the clock run out, James Gilyard tried to lateral the ball to one of his teammates as the former was being tackled. Of course the teammate didn't get the memo and botched the catch. USM recovered and a few plays later kicked the winning field goal. I think Curley Hallman was fired the next morning.

Feb 2 1985. LSU has the ball under their goal with 1 second left and leads by one point over UGA at home. John Williams throws it the length of the court over the head of Nikita Wilson runs off the court with his hands in the air in Victory. UGA inbounds under their own goal with a bank shot by Cedrick Henderson to win by one. SHELLSHOCKED SILENCE

For me it was LSU vs. Alabama in 1998. LSU was up 16-7 with 4 minutes to play and we give up 15 pts while the winning touchdown goes over burnt toast Hookfin with 38 seconds on the clock. Poor guy lived with that until Saban fixed him his Senior year.

Hookfin was in high school in '98. It was Robert Davis in '98

The kicks by LSU to start each half occurred in the season opener in 1994 against A$M.

I don’t recall if it also happened in that game, but the one that 100% happened was September of 2002 against Mississippi State. Saban was the coach and Bradie James was the team captain that made the incorrect call at the coin toss.

Kicking a field goal to take a 6 point lead at Arkansas with about two minutes left only to see the Hogs weak passing attack hit two long passes in the final minute to pull out the game.

I think I recall where LSU was down on about the 2 or 3 yd line and had one play to score and win the game. Miles called his patented toss back to the tailback....Guice as I recall. Only problem is that the entire team ran right and Guice went left. No score and loss the game, but my memory could be a bit off. Please correct if you remember the play and it was different

Miles wasn’t the coach
correct, Miles was fired earlier that season. It was against Florida in Tiger Stadium. We dominated statistically but not on the scoreboard.

You coould probably pick one from every single game last season on offense. There was one in Vandy that was when I finally gave up on the whole thing.

This was a fitting way to usher in the worst special teams in LSU history.

2012 vs Alabama in Tiger Stadium.

Chavis goes into a "Prevent" in OT and it worked.

It prevented us from winning.

The "Yeldon" screen pass.

The Jamie Howard debacle vs Auburn. I do not blame Howard for what happened. The coaches threw away (pun intended) what should have been an easy victory against Auburn.
