re: Why does Brad Davis still have a job?
Posted by bearhc on 11/9/25 at 7:19 pm to 18handicap
Apparently Kelly tried to fire him twice, but he was told no by SW. Why does he still have a job? That is the million dollar question.
The problem is the offensive line coach who is a total joke.
Someone posted lasted night that he knew that Kelly wanted to fire Davis after last season

Is this true?
I know that Kelly wanted to fire Davis this season, and Woodward said no which is incredible. Someone posted lasted night that he knew that Kelly wanted to fire Davis after last season and was told no. If this is true, Woodward's actions have caused major damage to the program, and Kelly should have walked at that time. Did Woodward have political ambitions and wanted Davis' support. It still amazes me that Davis still has a job. His lack of coaching is the major reason that our offense is terrible.

I have no opinion of what type of person Nussmeier is, because obviously, I do not know him. The problem is that the NCAA has created an intolerable situation, because it did not stand up to lawsuits. Now the college game has become a professional game, and if you play poorly the fans are going to take out their frustrations on you.
Ory Williams seemed to have done a good job tonight.

Hopefully our incompetent OL coach will keep him as the starting right tackle going forward.

His defenses at Baylor have been terrible.
re: Did anyone else watch LSU women destroy SLU last night?

Knox, Johnson, and Hines all look really good. We know what we have in returning starters Johnson and Williams. Fulwiley is capable of scoring a lot of points and her defense has been very good. Kovall is certainly a welcome addition and can be really good in the paint for us. Final Four is a definite possibility. Playing three true freshman one of whom starts and a true sophomore isn't ideal, but these players will be very good.

That is what you do if you do not know X's and O's.
re: Zion out 7-10 days with left hamstring strain

Business in the Quarter's gentlemen's clubs is about to pick up.
The team should have moved on from him years ago. He does not care and is laughing in the faces of Pelican administration.

We will see if Dumars has any balls. Trade this man now. Gee we won two games without him.
We already have one malcontent; why would we add another?
How is it that he and Verge are close? Right now Freeman is walking on water at Notre Dame and has no reason to leave.
At the end of the day, Brian Kelly simply did not fit in at LSU. He is a good football coach, but I think that he realized that he simply was not going to bring us to a championship level. Unfortunately, I do think that he kind of bailed out on LSU at the end, because he just did not want to be here any longer. Good luck to him though and to his family.
