I had to change our plans from visiting Southwestern Colorado due to the uncertainty of the wildfires. Would appreciate any input on Rocky Mountain national Park and its surroundings related to excursions, hotels, etc. Thanks.

We’re an older couple in our early 60s and are planning a week trip out west maybe to some national parks. Maybe catch a train ride in the mountains. We’re not much on hiking and camping but would like to do one or two excursions. Would any of y’all have any recommendations? We’ve both done the Grand Canyon. Trying to get away from the south Louisiana heat. Thanks.

Gone are the days where hometown/state players are fan favorites and generate fan’s pride. Except for Dale Brown buying out of state players like Macklin, Scales, Cook, Sims, etc.

They shook-down Citibank and other banks to implement lower qualifying standards for subprime mortgages to counter supposed racism in lending by twisting and cherry picking socioeconomic data. These irresponsible homeowners could not make mortgage payments and did not maintain the properties, causing the crisis.

I toured the Old State Capitol for the first time in 50 years. I’m an old Republican guy and my head was spinning. Nothing but leftist, socialist, race baiting exhibits. Huey Long, Jim Crow, KKK, all intended to sow discord, hate and discontent. What about exhibiting productive, civil aspects of all citizen’s contributions of our great state’s history in a positive manner? It’s no wonder there’s so much division; to think that every grade school BR area student gets indoctrinated on their field trips. This historical society should be ashamed of this display of hatred…..
