LMAO. a substantial amount of munitions?
BLANKS?

this howitzer is the equivalent of an overgrown starter pistol used to start a race....

What a dumbass you are!?

What???
who has expressed sympathy for Kelly?

He is a multi millionaire who can now sit back and enjoy his millions in retirement... why would anyone have sympathy?

As good as JJ is, and he's obviously the best coach in college baseball, winning the College World Series is incredibly hard to do. Especially in this day and age of NIL, transfer portal, etc. It is an absolute miracle Skip managed to win 5 in 10 years. I don't care how good of a coach you are, or how good your players are, it is a long daunting gauntlet to navigate the entire season, win the regional, win the super, and then beat the best 8 teams in the country remaining, including winning a best of 3 with the winning team of the other bracket. Absolutely amazing he's managed to do just that, 2 of the last 3 years. And, it's baseball. Anything can happen. Which makes LSUS' 59-0 season unfathomable. Impossible to do in baseball. Skip's era was a bit easier, due to numerous factors. One being that not nearly as many schools cared as much about baseball, or spent as much $. On the other hand Skip not only won 5 in 10 years, he was undefeated, 5-0, in National Championship games when a single game was played to determine the national champion. All that being said, JJ gets at least one more, maybe 2. If he keeps scaring away his competition like Vitello running away to the show, maybe he wins 10. Who knows. What I do know, is that this is going to be a hell of a ride every spring/summer as long as he's coaching the Fightin' Tigahs. Let's pray we make the right decision hiring our next HBC on the football side of it. We are LSU! We should be contending for an NC year round. Unfortunately, Mulkey probably won't be here very much longer. And I've been on record saying that I'd hire her today to coach the men's team.

I agree, except:
maybe win 2 more?
-I think he wins 5 more - Yes wishful thinking.... I know.
-could not care less about all the basketballs- men, womens, intramural... disband em all, and win baseball!
quote:

frick it just disband womens basketball altogether and give their budget and rev share to JJ.

agreed.... do the same with men's Basketball.
assuming that LSU does NOT have any dirt on Kelly-

there are only a few reasons to settle for less:
1. the offset clause- there could be a potential to remove the offset clause and start coaching somewhere else.
2. time value of money... without doing calculations... let's 3 say $3 million in a lump sum now is worth more than 5million in 2030, for example...

I’ve heard of optimism….. but this is delusional.

Nobody is going to just sit healthy guys. We may see more guys who are banged up but not unable to play sit, and we may see teams pull starters earlier in games that are 2-3 score games in the 2nd half, but I'd be shocked if we ever get to a point where teams are just not playing starters like NFL teams sometimes do in Week 17.

I call bullshite...
I think you are going to see teams sitting players to rest "old injuries they have been playing through" etc.
Sure, the report will say he has been banged up for weeks and needs to recover.

when you get to week 10 and beyond, who isn't "banged up"?... every player who sees significant playing time is dealing with minor injuries. that's just part of the grind at that point in the season.
I don't disagree with Ohio State being a top tier program at the moment.

I don't think Kiffin will ever sustain that level of success.

I think he is a good coach, and if he happens across a generational type QB, he could catch fire and win a Natty... But so did Jimbo...

3. If he wants to be a Legacy coach and achieve at the level Saban did there is only one choice ..LSU

WHAT??

What has kiffin done to make you think he can sustain a level close to Saban?

Frankly, I am not certain anyone can reach that level of consistently competing for championships in this era of College football.

there is a very real chance for an upset.

I want to believe this is true…. But I can’t see a world where this O-line is even serviceable. How Davis didn’t get run off with Kelly and Sloan. Idk

Saban is 73. We need to find the next Saban

Saban isn’t coming… and frankly I don’t want him to.
I’m not sure he can manage as well as he used to.
And I don’t think he wants to.

Nah bro…. Ain’t no schematic reason for them to look softer than charmin.

Last year they were very talented and still soft, AF.
She was apparently fired from Pitt just 13 months ago.

I admit I know nothing about her… but why would she fail at Pitt and succeed at LSU?

You MAY have had a decent point…. But when you include something as dumb, vile, and childish as this…. You’ve completely blown any chance that normal adults will consider what you said based on its merits.

Perkins has not played well recently... and It's not just a scheme issue.
there were several times in the vandy game, he had a clear path to Pavia, and ran directly at him, and Pavia escaped outside, instead of taking the outside route away...
