don't remember, though, if he was throwing that hard all season or if he brought that out in the postseason?

He was throwing that hard all season, but did NOT have elite control early in the season. Down the stretch he was pretty great.

Is Jay Johnson on the hot seat yet?

NOT SERIOUS.

But I bet you that SECN would have streamed it with not problem. At least the LSU games. If you can't find anyone worth a shite to stream it. Don't have the "tournament" and let the teams play where they may.

No they wouldn't.
ESPN/SECN is contractually obligated to produce and stream all baseball held in SEC home stadiums. They agreed to this to have the rights to stream football, if not for this contract we would not get any of the baseball games on TV/Stream.

July, motherfricker.... The first Loss will be in July!

no baseball expert, but Johnson seems to be exceptional at managing a team to do exactly this.

Couldn’t agree more!

That’s why when he makes a move that I don’t necessarily agree with, I shut my damn mouth, and enjoy the ride.
I realize he has forgotten more about baseball than I’ll ever know.

Imagine Trindon Holliday on the base paths

Everybody knows that defensive ends can’t play baseball!
I think they have enough talent to do it.
But, winning it all requires a certain amount of luck, avoiding injuries, and getting hot at the right time.

Could they? Absolutely!

Will they? Much less sure about that.

John Pearson is going to be really hard to Keep Out of the Lineup

I disagree.
Sure, if his 7 hits, 3 were HRs and 1 double.
But his average is still sub .300. And I’d bet most of his ABs were against subpar talent, and/or in late game garbage action.

He isn’t bad, but he’s shown nothing to warrant vaulting ahead of the others, currently in front of him

re: So whats up with Cowan

Posted by Bacon84 on 2/18/26 at 9:50 pm to
I can’t speak for today because I was a little late and missed the first inning.

But, from last year, Cowan is pitcher that throws a lot of strikes, and pitches well from ahead in the count. Generally speaking he hits his spots, gets ahead in the count and he can make people chase by nipping at the edges of the strike zone.

Last year for a portion of the season it appeared to my untrained eye, that he had trouble hitting his spots, lost a little control. As a result he wasn’t able to get ahead in counts.

Hunt Palmer said on air yesterday that D-1 baseball knows about LSU stream demand and is ready this year.

So D1 paid him to promote it, huh?

We heard the same thing last year and they failed.
Fool me once, shame on you!
Fool me twice…… I’d have to be an idiot.

He’s one of my favorites too.

I know him in real life.,
But seems to be a really good guy.

pitching doesn't look like a natty unit,

Last years unit didn’t look like a natty unit, until suddenly it was.

I think they have a lot of talented pitchers. I think they will be strong enough when the time comes.

I think the team overall is talented enough to win a natty. Will they?
Idk yet….

reminded the wife last night that LSU baseball starts today. She was like, "but football just finished". Her sad face [ON] OFF

I told my wife last night that it starts today, at 2pm which happens to be when are leaving for a rd trip. and her immediate response was, “we can catch it on the laptop while we drive, right?”
I love my wife!
Your SIL is a dumbass.

Also, I’ll be damned if I’m coming here to ask about someone else’s opinion on my clothes. I’m a grown man, I don’t need anyone else’s approval
29-0.

Just because I refuse to predict a loss.

NO IT WON’T!

If football wins, he’ll be fine.
That’s how it works.

Les used to create with the Big Cat drill

What?
No, big cat drill, is not about competition between 2 players.

The big cat drill, used to be very common across football, but it was called “bull in the ring”.
One player stood in the middle, with the rest of the players around in a circle. A coach called the numbers of players to charge the “bull in the ring”. It was about be aggressive and tough, delivering the blow and not being a pussy.

It was not a one on one, or offense against defense. It wasn’t even really a competition. Nobody “won”.

I remember bull in the ring playing junior high ball. It was not invented by Les….
