But Aranda has years of excellent results at LSU and I’d be more than happy to accept him back. He’s proven himself here.

I'm an Aranda fan, but if we end up needing a new DC we better get one that can recruit. If the HC isn't a recruiter and the DC isn't, we can't expect Frank and others to bring in top talent.

I mean… that’s not exactly insane in todays game. considering what he inherited.

For a great DC? Yes it is.

Bama basically fired their DC for similar performances.

Just because team's score more these days on average, you should not be giving up those kinds of points to shitty teams like A&M, UF, and Arky. FSU offense is not that huge of a juggernaut either. They are very good, but 45 points, most of which came in the second half is not good.

Hell, Grambling was moving the ball up and down the field on LSU for the first quarter and a half with ease.

Aranda would need to be fired and I don’t see that happening this year.

What do we do it House leaves and takes all his DL and DB recruits with him?

This is a ridiculous position- the guy still has a job at Baylor and we still have a DC

Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if he left but I would think Elko and Narduzzi would have to turn it down first.

But you're confident enough to let us know he's not looking for a coordinator position? Got it.

Michigan State seems to me to be the same job as Texas A&M and UCLA. You're the little brother program in a big state and there's no way you could win a national championship there. You'll get paid real well (they'll overpay) and you can win and win big bowl games. But you're not going to topple Michigan or Ohio State.
I dunno if Elko wants this when he could hold out for a top tier job. Although that wouldn't be a bad job to have while you're waiting for somewhere top tier to open up.

His biggest adjustment last year was inserting #40 to go after QBs in the second half of games after digging himself a hole in the 1st half. Not really an adjustment, more of a desperate act and doing something he didn’t want to do.

THIS. Plus Dan Enos might be on equal footing with House.

Mich State is a HUGE step up from Duke or Pitt (Narduzzi) football-wise. I get it's not UM or OSU but it would still be a large jump for Elko or Narduzzi.

Do you House bashers realize every team on earth knows our weakness. It’s talent and experience in the secondary. Last year we had some issues with the front seven also. This year we are better up front.

One more tid-bit: we are getting gashed by the big play. That is not a House issue. It has been said and recognized some of the players still don’t play within the scheme or carry out their assignments. Or have an inkling on how to tackle.
