In the NFL and college, a “feature running back” just isn’t a thing anymore. I’m not saying you can throw just anybody back there but Kelly is doing the right thing building the OL. A strong OL and any competent and athletic back will thrive....
Low: Same year, Notre Dame. Cold, miserable weather and horrible results on the field.
Indy Bowl? I froze my arse off at that game. EDITED TO SAY: But “horrible results on the field”? We won that game....
Low: 2012 regular season loss to Bama. That game is so haunting
Not saying this was the all time low for me. But saying the 2014 loss was right up there with 2012. We win those two games, which we should have, and the history of LSU’s success in the SEC through the 2010’s versus gu...
I guarantee Brandon Harris used his Shreveport ties to bring him in - he is a certified snake
He’s a “certified snake” because he is working hard recruiting for the program that employs him? How big a fricking dumbass are you?...
In this new era the expectations every season should be: make the 12 team playoff. Do that and the NCs will take care of themselves. If an LSU coach is not consistently making the playoff, he’s not getting the job done. This goes exponentially when the playoff is expanded to 16....
I’m not Lester’s biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination…. But I’ll give him this. Usually when he has a strong opinion about something, he’s right, or at the very least he’s done his homework On the other hand, you have douchebags like SFP, who run their mouth without knowing ja...
Quinlan Duhon has left the staff
Duhon was Director of Operations, an administrative position. She was not an on-field coach. I’d be more wondering how Bryce Neal is feeling right now. He likely thought he was being brought in as hitting coach, got to Baton Rouge and heard “Sorr...

Yes, good luck to him. Against lesser pitching, perhaps a light will come on for him hitting-wise, he gets drafted, and moves up the ladder. Wish that could have happened at LSU, but can’t blame him for returning home and going to a program where he’ll be an unquestioned starter....
No doubt Torina called Scott’s bluff with the “I can’t recruit with an expiring contract.” But yes, I agree this shows that softball is not high on Scott’s list of priorities. Just win more than you lose and OKC does not matter. ...
The Cajuns have traditionally had a good hitting program. I think they knew better than to hire Dobson....
I don’t know but Howard Dobson was listed in a recent article as a candidate for the vacant UL head coaching job. They surely have to know better than that. I’ve never seen a college coach in any sport skate by on his alleged reputation as opposed to his actual on-field results as much as Dobson....
I’m glad we have Jay Johnson and there is no coach in America I’d want at LSU above him. But if Jay was not available I’d take Vitello in a heartbeat....
It's somewhere between 99.9% true and 100% true. Burrow was making a choice between Cincinnati and LSU. The choice there is obvious. But the thing that made the choice crystal clear was Bill Busch. Orgeron had zero to do with the choice made by Burrow. Yes, Orgeron pursued Burrow, and yes Bu...

I wish Paul the best except when it goes against LSU’s best interests. But this makes no sense at all. He’s pushing 70 and was clearly burned out from the SEC grind when he retired in 2021. South Carolina needs a young aggressive a-hole-type coach like Vitello. The best Paul can do there is be a...
