That’s all fine and good, but the rumor has been the SEC has blocked Freeze being hired in the past.

Yes of course but I don’t think that’s forever. And the landscape has changed significantly. But look, I don’t know , I’m just speculating.

Yeah I’m getting more and more into the idea of Freeze.

I kind of hate the aw shucks preacher persona, especially given what we know about him now. But the guy is undeniably a very good offensive mind, the top requirement imo, and a proven successful HC that probably has as good a chance as anyone of taking LSU to its full potential.

My biggest concern is his recruiting tactics. I didn’t trust the guy when he was in Oxford, and just like I didn’t change my opinion of Ed when he was hired, I won’t automatically change it about Freeze just because he throws on a purple visor either.

That said, I get that the recruiting business has changed dramatically recently, and also understand that coaches likely have to bend the rules more at a program like Ole Miss than they do at an elite program like LSU.

I’m pretty confident Freeze can adapt his approach if he’s given this opportunity, especially since he’ll be so grateful for getting a second chance. I don’t think he’ll want to do anything that would jeopardize it.

Count me in on the Freeze front

1. Freeze - has the least number of issues but his past is still what it is whore mongrel. White mongrels will not work with Title IX hanging there.
how bout if LSU potentially was considering hiring a top notch black coach that had exactly the same type baggage as Freeze.

and this potential hire was being pushed on LSU and the (SEC required approval) by the Black Lives Matter terrorist group.

does BLM coach get in?

just sayin.

you know this scenario will pop up somewhere eventually.

So wait, you think a university that has all these title 9 allegations is going to hire a coach that was hiring hookers for his players...

This may be the dumbest thing I have ever seen posted on this site..

I’ve never been a “he’s one of us” guy, obviously. But I do think fit is a factor in whether a coach works at a school or not.

And I’m just not sure I see the fit with Peterson. He really is as far removed from the SEC gauntlet as anyone that has been mentioned, and he’s also one of the oldest.

I just don’t see it.

As long as he has learned to use a burner phone to order his hookers then let winter cum.

So let me get this straight. Because the guy screwed up he’s off limits? Damned man, he’s coaching at Liberty, I’d say he’s walking a straight line. In addition, he’s apologized and taken responsibility for what happened at UM.

The guy is a damned fine coach regardless is the mistakes he made in the past.

BTW, if LSU and their “woke” President get this wrong, you’ll be wishing you had Freeze.

have you read Matthew 5:48? It's as if some of you aren't smart enough to understand God Almighty wants and expects perfection.

This is what often puzzles me when guys get in trouble for something considered moral. They often go the high school or christian school route, but a public university is off limits.

So a Christian school is okay with giving him a second chance? No care about how it looks.

I do understand the difference here is this is a big business that makes a lot of money and they can't afford to have a guy screw up again. I just don't think he is a guy who would screw up again, but you never know. I feel like if anything you actually have less to worry about with a hire like him. I can't possibly see him making the same mistake again, but that's just an opinion and a guess.

shady? yeah.

illegal? na.

what freeze did and what's going on at LSU is apples to oranges.

just bad optics, but i'd still take him.

Don't forget how his Ole Miss teams scared Saban into evolving his offense. Freeze is the reason, and Saban admitted it. Saban would probably not like to see LSU land him.
