Kiffin was OC from 2014-2016. Saban modernized the offense in 2014 when he hired Kiffin. Freeze beat Alabama in 2014 and 2015.

I personally don't give a shite if a millionaire coach or athlete wants to blow some money on sex between consenting adults, and frankly a lot of you seem inordinately terrified of "Title IX", like it's a church inquisition---- if a prospective coach has some baggage in his past, yeah it bears scrutiny but should not be an automatic disqualifier---- I'm more suspicious of anyone in their 40s or 50s that DOESN'T ...
We thumb our noses at science over COVID, at PETA over Mike, at the NCAA over tPear, at PC thought over monuments and BLM, at liver-doctors over our bourbon consumption, we rail against Compliance over weed violations, but -
Our next FB coach has to be a church deacon? Let the "national press" make fun of us just like they hammered us over Les eating grass and how Ed talks and how we drink too much and whatever-the-hell else....
pick the best coach available.

Wasn’t there also an issue with recruiting violations, specifically the year they got 5 of the top 10 players. I recall one player proclaiming that he got paid when he was selected on draft day.

He also had some nasty allegations regarding behavior around some young HS coeds when he was coaching HS. That came out in his dismissal at OM.
Also it was never linked but a lot of people suspected he was pulling escorts in for recruits.
Lastly, OM probably has so much dirt on him that any team in the SEC would be instantly f'd if they hired him...

My post wasn't clear.
I mean, I don't like coaches that are all preachy and Jesusy but only to get recruits like Urban, Dabo, Freeze, etc. and then are total scum in real life.
I don't want a coach that thinks he's Joel Olsteen.
Give me a straight up mercenary like Saban or someone that isn't a total hypocritical snake.

I'm not sure about head coach, but I don't see why we couldn't pull him in as OC. Especially if LSU hires a defensive minded coach.

Dalmasso, an eighth-grade student at the time, was wearing a Grateful Dead t-shirt, and Freeze brought her into his office to inform her it violated school dress code because the shirt “represented drugs.”
“I said, ‘I’ll go change in the bathroom,’ and when I said that he said, ‘No, you’re going to change in here so I get the (Grateful Dead) shirt and you can’t have it back,’” she told Peter.
Yes it's stupid to think Freeze will be LSU's coach.
