Wait, we pulled out that series at Auburn?

That happened 15 years ago.

I suppose some folks at Alabama felt that way about football, about 15 years ago. They had long been the premier SEC team, the main one playing on a national level. Sure, others had made runs with conference titles, but Bama was the one that won it all.
Then the BCS happened, and the SEC surged to the top of college football, spearheaded by LSU and Florida, with Auburn and Georgia closely following. Alabama was left behind, in a new world order.
So Bama, instead of giving up, instead hired a good coach. And they became the best program in the country, by a pretty large margin, for a decade.
Other than Bama becoming the best program in the country, much of what you say is flawed.
From 1980 through 2005 (26 seasons) the SEC only won 5 NCs. One each for Georgia (1980), Alabama (1992), Florida (1996), Tennessee (1998), and LSU (2003). SEC dominance began in 2006 with 7 straight titles and 13 in 17 titles (6 Alabama, 2 LSU, 2 Florida, 2 Georgia, 1 Auburn).
By the time the BCS came into being in 1998 Alabama had already slid significantly., winning 1 championship from 1980-1998 and only 3 conference titles. Additionally, that championship was the only one they won until 2009. From 1980 Through 2008 (28 seasons) they had only won 1 NC, 4 conference championships, and 5 SEC West championships (1 of those was Saban, also division play started in 1992).
The change was Bear Bryant retiring. Between Bryant and Saban, Bama went through 6 coaches. It was the third coach, Gene Stallings, who won the single NC they won between Bryant and Saban.
Since Skip retired after the 2001 season, LSU has had 3 coaches. Smoke, PM, and JJ. Since Skip retired (now 22 seasons) LSU has won 1 NC, the SEC regular season 5 times, and the SEC tournament 6 times (all under PM).
An interesting side note, since the SEC tournament started up in 1977 LSU has the most Tournament championships with 12. Six of those by Skip and six by PM. Moo State, Alabama, and Florida are tied for second with 7, no other school has more than 4.

Very weird timing since our program has been trending up ever since falling after the the 2017 season. Schools (especially SEC schools) care about baseball now so you will forever be disappointed if you expect us to completely dominate the sport.

With NIL and the transfer portal we are going to take it back. Tennessee is the only school that seems to be investing in NIL like we are and Jay showed hes willing to hit the recruiting trail hard. We got basically everyone we wanted out of the portal except Waldrep and the guys we lost to the draft. Vandy is going to lose their advantage. LSU baseball is going to thrive in this era

any other built-in advantages anymore.
One thing LSU does have is a network of alumni and donors that have been focusing attention on baseball for years now that can really start making a difference now with NIL dollars. Other universities in the conference may care about baseball now but I don’t know if any of them have the private network already in place like LSU has.
Plus the program been trending upward the past 2-3 seasons from where it was 2018ish

The last 2 CWS winners did not even make the SEC Conference Tournament. I don't think anyone anticipated that result at the beginning of the season. LSU was predicted to be good and I don't think anyone gave us the CWS trophy at the start of this season. The Team that shows up in the Regionals, Supers and CWS is all that matters. The Team that puts it all together and gets hot when it really counts WINS it every year. There is a chance to earn it, staring this week in Baton Rouge.

Why don’t you go back to bashing gays, defending sex offenders and talking out your arse about those loser New Orleans Saints.
OR JUST COME OUT THE CLOSET.
OR JUST COME OUT THE CLOSET.

Basing this off of what? Tigers have home field advantage for regional, would have home field advantage in a Super and would need to win 2/3, something they have done pretty much the entire year. The pitchers behind Skenes have given reason for hope recently. Some people love to prematurely melt, how about we let them play first then melt.

The fall started with the new Box, and that can be blamed squarely on Skip.
Unfortunately, that will be his legacy over the ancient national championships.

Then we are headed in the right direction considering that we fell well below the top of the SEC during the Manure era.

That may be the dumbest statement anybody has said. That dudes legacy and 5 National Championships in 10 years is cemented in college baseball’s history.

I can tell from just reading the OP that he doesn’t show back up to defend anything said here. I don’t even have to read the whole thread. Troll
