I think the majority of LSU fans would like to be good in MBB, what an odd thing to say

That would be correct. But a ton would pick baseball over it. It’d just is what it is. It’d be terrific to be great at everything though.

They make poor hires

I mean kind of easy to make “good” hires when you’re Kentucky with extremely low expectations isn’t it?

You’re completely off in the complaints. No one is blaming pitching for a singular loss. They are more concerned about the pitching than the hitting for the rest of the year.

Is this lineup supposed to be vulnerable to lefties?

It wasn’t up to last night. Pretty sure the splits favored lefties over righties for us. Now it’s a small sample size to work with so not sure how much that matters.
They get a weird gratification that if they get a response (which is the entire point of this board) that they feel like they’ve accomplished something. But if nobody responded to anything this board would be quite dead. It’s just odd thinking, but oh well.

I would not fret about a baseball loss unless they start stacking like 2024. Even then, if they lose a lot of games, JJ has still earned a LOT of leeway and this is all a warmup for the tournament anyway.

Yep. If we get to sec play and 18 wins starts looking daunting then we should start growing concerned. That or we drop like 4 more of these games.

Man no one has time to read all that shite lol
Last night sucks. But it happens every year. Next year it’ll probably happen again. And the year after that. And the year after that.

You can disagree with him, but "Tuesday pitching" doesn't exactly hold weight against his point.

We’ll need 7-8 guys to really be at their best. Evan’s, Moore, Schmidt, Guidry, Sheerin I think are our best bets right now. While Schmidt is still unproven and needs to do it consistently. If he does you’re really just looking for 2-3 Moore. Noot, Williams, and Rizy have proven they can give you valuable innings. As has Cowan, but I’m losing faith in that one. So you’re really just looking for 1 or 2 of the like 10 remaining to step up. Ricken looks like he may be able to be that guy. When you really look at it it doesn’t appear that daunting that we’ll be able to find it.

It’s still so early as well. Our number 2 last year had a months worth of starts in Feb/March where some of the fans were questioning (yes I thought they were crazy at the time) if he was even an SEC type of pitcher. And then next thing you know he’s one of the best in the SEC.

Kent State is their conference defending champion and projected to go to the postseason. McNeese won 11 conference games last year

Kent ST is much better than Mcneese, but losing a weekend series to an opponent of that caliber is almost always worse than a midweek game. Not that any of it really matters. If Tennessee goes on a tear the next 3 months no one gives a shite about a loss in Feb. Just like no one cares we got ten run ruled by Northwestern last year.
We’ve lost to Nichols, Northwestern, or Mcneese in every championship year since 2000. It literally happens every year lol

Is better than Mcneese

Midweek vs weekend. Big difference. I thought Tenn fans knew baseball?

Oooof they were 2-5. Little Rock, Omaha, Stony Brook not available?

Commenting on singular games during championship years is certainly a strategy.

Oh you’re definitely right about that. You’re just not going to get a huge blowup after a midweek game. At least not the blowups I’ve seen.

They don’t seem to understand he creams his Twinkie to this kind of response from LSU fans.

We’re having fun laughing at him which is fun. All it is. He does seem weird like that though lol

Man. You gotta get better at this flame post thing. It’s just not working out for you. I do appreciate the enthusiasm

Kent state was lowkey good. Didn't see that coming at all

They were. Still not a series you should lose at home, but I think they’ll give some regional team hell.
