The other two posters pretty much nailed it.

It’s been tough some days saying no to a dessert or to a drink, or to a high calorie meal when I want it,

If you know this is coming then just lower your calories further the rest of the day, or the day before/after. If I know I'm going out to dinner that night I'll pretty much just eat protein during the day and cut out everything else

Just to tone up. Would like to get down to 150-160ish

Changed my lifestyle and lost 83 lbs since July 2024. Started back in the gym June 2025.

First off congratulations. That's awesome

I'm guessing you're asking this question because you've started to plateau?
It gets much harder to lose weight the longer you've been in a deficit. Are you tracking calories?
If you've been at it for 8 months and are now starting to plateau then you should now understand why it's much easier to lose weight through your diet than your exercise. You can't just keep adding more cardio. After 8 months it's probably time for a bit of a break. This will slow things down but will help you lose more total weight in the long run and help you keep it off and avoid rebounding.

I'd slowly drop the intense cardio down until all that's left is the walking and focus more on your resistance training. Try to slowly increase your calories as well without gaining weight. The goal is to increase your maintenance calorie intake and lower the amount of cardio needed to maintain your current weight. Maybe you're able to slowly ramp up your calories until you're eating another 500 per day and only walking without gaining weight. That's a huge win. Stay there for a bit and then it will make your next diet cycle much easier

There are very minimal invasive surgeries now with small 1.5" incisions and they scrape some of the disc to elevate pressure on the nerve.

Agree that this isn't something to be overly scared of. But

The shot is just a temporary pain reliever. It does nothing to fix the root cause.

This is also true of the surgery. Too many people get the shots or surgeries and do nothing to solve the root cause and end up with another bulging disc a few years later
Year after year we see that Yeskie takes a long time to get his staff to peak. He's perfectly fine letting high potential guys go out and stink it up for as long as it takes as long as we're still in host contention

You should listen to him try to organize a podcast
And I'll always be for anyone disrupting the espn bloc on sports

But if you ever hear Rooney and Fitt speak....what fruits. There's gotta be someone better to carry the torch

I feel like we will be taking a power bat out of the lineup when Stanny does come back.

Some of these guys are going to drop off when SEC play starts, especially the younger guys who don't have a scouting report on them yet. That won't happen to Stanfield. He's been hitting in the SEC for years
