Chambliss is damn good

True. And he'll get his. But Lane knows him inside and out, and his tendencies/weaknesses for Baker to exploit. I like the Tigers by 6 in a tight one.

I think Mississippi wins this game. It will be their most important home game since 2003. They will put everything into this game. It being an early season game in more beneficial to them since they return more key pieces. I am hoping to be wrong, but the fact is they should be good.

Gun to my head, I’d favor Ole Miss. They’ll be playing with more emotion. Most of LSU’s roster doesn’t give a shite about Ole Miss. This will be, by far, their biggest game of the year.

LSU offense may still be working things out in week 3.

The game rides on the shoulders of Chambliss and the back of Lacy. In my opinion this gives us a slight advantage.

Lane and Weiss Jr know Chambliss and there is an entire season of film on the guy. If anyone can help Baker scheme some contain, it’s Kiffin.

Also, Lacy has the good fortune /s to be coached by Frank. No one can frick up running back talent more than him.

Last year with the most anemic offense we have had after the Anthony Jenkins era, we were within one score. I do not see Golding out-scheming Lane in the coaches chess match. I am also not convinced Golding can manage the emotions going into the game. There is a fine line between being motivated to win and let the emotions of the moment take over (e.g, stupid penalties, mental distraction, etc)

I hope to see us on top of a game with a score much closer than the game was as Ole Miss plays desperation in the waning moments to get close, but fall short.

Their “home field” isn’t a major advantage.

You might end up being correct but this is a perfect example of someone who looks through purple and gold glasses only.

I’m usually pretty reasonable when it comes to LSU. I think losing Kiffin is nothing to sneeze at for ole miss. And I think we’ve been handcuffed by bad coaching thru the Kelly era. Maybe not terrible coaching per Se but def a team that hasn’t “bought in “

I asked ChatGPT to predict LSU's 2026 football game and it predicted 3 losses with one being Ole Miss..

however for this game given all that's at stake the home/road angle seems to be overrated
What?

It will be the most vitriolic visiting environment in the SEC in decades. Saban’s first game in Tiger Stadium will be nothing. They want us dead

I think LSU by 1-3 points. If, and only if, Kiffin can resist being Kiffin and doing something cute that costs a touchdown. Like a 4th and 30 fake punt on our own 31.

It could happen. Hopefully not. Head to head I think we are even talent wise and with the better coach.

Golding is NOT a good head coach.

Just weather the initial emotional storm and LSU pulls away by the end of the first half.

I’m expecting a close game considering this will be OM’s superbowl.
It's even more than their Superbowl.

If they lose, the entire thing will implode and Peg Leg Pete will be a Lame Duck in game 4 of his first season.

I don't see him lasting more than 2-3 years anyway before it turns into Matt Luke 2.0 and he'll be gone.

My prediction:

Ole Miss comes out strong and looks good in the first half. But they lack the coaching acumen to handle the adjustments LSU will make. Kiffin will wait until after halftime, and then totally take them apart

So? If Kiffin is the coach everybody says he is, and LSU has the talent to be a playoff team (which I truly believe they do) then the Tigers should welcome the challenge of playing in Oxford, not fear it.

Tigers Win. It will be a close game early on and I think we pull away and win by a TD. I think Lane adjusts to Pete's D better than Pete adjusting to Lane's Offense. Lane is the smarter coach here, alot smarter.
