The real problem with this game will be the outside noise. Every major media arm will have their people sniffing around for two weeks prior to the game attempting to drum up even more controversy that presently exists.

If Kiffin can get his team to maintain focus and get a road W in what is obviously going to be the single most hostile environment of the season, we will know we have something special.

I predict the Rant folding before the end of the first quarter.

LSU 35-21

War in the trenches all game. Exciting plays all day.

Hot take,

Ole Miss is under more pressure in this one and they will choke. Just like in 2003

The game isn’t even going to be close. Do you seriously think CLK doesn’t know all of their strengths/weaknesses and how to exploit them?

LSU 32-10 (I am so confident, even have CLK going for 2 and making it on his first touchdown)

They have the better QB - advantage Ole Miss
We have the better coach - advantage LSU
They are playing at home - advantage Ole Miss
We have a coach who knows their QB's weaknesses - advantage LSU

I'm really excited about this year. We have set up the roster really well, if Kiffin is half the coach we all know he is we could be in for a special season.

If our freshman DL can come in and make a few tackles in the run game we will be elite on defense, top 10. All indications are the QB is healthy and working hard, our RB room is deep and talented and Kiffin is a master at the run game.

It will start like this -

LSU 32, Clemson 10 - after game narrative is Clemson sucks, we don't know about LSU. But for those of us watching, we see our front 7 on D playing in the opponents backfield all game long.

LSU 28, Ole Miss 17 - A dominating defensive performance keeps giving the ball back to our run heavy offense, grinding the opposing defense to a pulp by the 4th quarter. Pete Golding has no answers.

I have a really good feeling about this game and look forward to the inevitable downward spiral that this game puts Ole Miss on. Ole Miss never holds a lead in the second half and the Fighting Tigers pull away by more than 10 late as Ole Miss implodes under the pressure they have created for themselves leading up to the game.

Ole Miss has better QB, better RB and home field advantage. On paper, OM should win.

My gut tells me 37-21 LSU.

I think the emotion will drain OM and work against them. It’s a business trip for LSU.
