Saints spent alot of money on DE already. CB from LSU would be a great choice.
Truly think we will regret it if we don’t take Mansoor.

I’m not wanting to move at all unless there’s a really good offer to move back . One of downs, styles , Delane, or lemon/tyson/tate will be there at 8 and any of those guys will be extremely impactful on this Saints team. I’m very confident that any of those aforementioned guys turn out to be extremely good and impactful for the saints.
I don’t get the Lemon disrespect on here but if we go wr I desperately hope he’s the pick. Hes drawing comps to Amon Ra for fcks sake

Do you even Mansoor Delane bro. And lemon won the biletnikoff on a very meh team and is insanely good despite this boards opinion of him. Both big need positions and absolute studs to fill them.

REALLY don’t want to trade up. I feel like no matter what happens in front of us, we’ll get a great player.
That’s how I feel. We need all our picks in future drafts. There will be an absolute stud at 8 no matter how this draft falls

Preaching to the choir man. A trade up would be so fricking stupid. ESP for a tweener who could be a big arse bust just like the “sure thing “ Isaiah Simmons outta Clemson. Exciting but also infuriating and stupid all at once. We need all our picks in the coming years to get this team into contention. We’ve already skipped lightyears ahead of a lot of teams by finding our qb. It’s no time to eff that up.

Me too. I’ll wish for the best and try to pump myself up over the pick but holy shite I don’t wanna draft him at 8.

I'd draft Tyson over Tate
Same. I think I’d go lemon as my wr1 in this draft though. I like Tyson the best but it’s close between him and lemon for me so with the injuries I’d say lemon by a small margin is the first wr I’d grab from this class. Feels like he’d be there at 8 . The more I think about the draft though the more I really hope Delane is available and the pick. Big need. Feels safe. He’s extremely versatile moving from man to zone coverage. A willing tackler and receiver eraser. And that speed … holy crap.
re: CBS Sports drops "Buyer Beware" tags on Ruben Bain and Jordyn Tyson et al
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/16/26 at 6:15 am to L.A.
Yeah he better be bending like a mfer bc those big ,long armed tackles are going to abuse this guy. Hes not gonna be able to just power his way through like he could often do in college. Maybe he masters it and continues his success at the next level. Either way as bad as I’ve crapped on Bain on this board I do truly believe he’d be a very good run stuffer coming off the edge . That’s what I see. Good to elite against the run. Very average at getting to the qb. Do we want that with our 8 pick ? I guess we’ll know in a week. He’s been mocked for us more than any other player.
Idk why but my Payton Turner spidey senses are going off with this fella. I can already hear the in-season/late season arguments on this board about whether or not he’s a bust .

Yeah I like McShay but he’s a little much sometimes with alll the “hot takes “

If the Jets take Bailey which he thinks they will. Don’t like a move up from 8 but Reese has the most defensive upside in this draft imo. I like McShay a lot but I kinda hope he’s wrong here. Thinks if we stay put it’s receiver or DB at 8. Says Loomis REALLY likes M Delane and thinks he’s a perfect fit in our defense.
Edit. Apologies. Just saw thiis mentioned in another thread.

re: Would you trade with the Giants for pick 5?
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/15/26 at 12:55 pm to Burt Macklin
No. We will have the opportunity to draft a day 1 impactful starter at a position of need at 8.
re: Interesting intel from Nick Underhill
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/15/26 at 12:01 pm to Jojodaddy
That’s fair. Not a recurring injury but still oft injured. Seems more of a bad luck kinda deal than anything but I get it. I’d be fine with Tyson at 8 bc his upside but gun to my head to take Tyson or lemon and I’m gonna go Lemon. I like Tyson slightly better but it’s not enough to edge out lemon with the injuries. I feel like the saints wait til 42 to grab their receiver but I’ll be cool with it if they wanna get their guy at 8 and pick one of the more surefire ones and be done with it.

Have you seen Tyson play ? I mean I like lemon just as much and would rather him bc of the injury concerns but I’d rather Tyson than Tate. I’m just not sold on him and he’s just not that fast. Hard to tell if he’s as good as advertised considering he was catching CB2s all year.

Please no Jordyn freakin Tyson

re: Who is in favor of paying Olave as a #1 WR?
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/14/26 at 7:46 pm to LSUPilot07
Injuries plus talk of him almost retiring is a hard pass for me. But if you’re not planning to I think a surefire stud wr at #8 is the play. I think lemon or Tyson would step on the team and be better than Olave from day 1 but that’s just my hot take and I could be wrong.
re: Why are Jordyn Tyson's injuries such a concern to people?
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/14/26 at 2:52 pm to Fun Bunch
I desperately want a wr early. I’d roll the dice on him bc he’s an absolute fuggin stud. Tried to watch Leavitts highlights when he committed to LSU and half of it was Tyson showing his arse out there . I’d take the chance for the upside alone but I’m not mad if we go defense either. If he tumbles bc of the injury concerns someone is going to get an insane value late if he manages to stay healthy. Hes an extremely talented wr and better than Tate or lemon by a wide margin imo.
re: What's your realistic worst case scenario for the 1st 2 rounds
Posted by jkylejohnson on 4/14/26 at 9:14 am to Snipe
I agree completely. I’m def not looking to trade up in this draft. To be honest if someone was willing to cough up a next years first or high second this year I’d prob be willing to move down 5-7ish spots.

Realistic would be reaching for an edge rusher like Faulk or the UCF guy at 8. I think they’re both solid but would be such a reach to go top ten. I can’t think of anything else that would piss me off more that seems realistic.
Or moving up to draft Bain would be really stupid imo.
Trading up for anyone in this draft with mayyyyyyybe the exception of Bailey or Reese.

All kidding aside … if Bain is the pick I’ll be his biggest fan and hope he’s the one man wrecking crew that a lot of posters here think he is. If we’re going defense at 8 though I very much hope it’s one of Mansoor , Styles , or Downs. I feel very good about any of those 3 being extremely impactful right out of the gate. Or of course if something silly happens like Bailey or Reese falling to us unexpectedly that would be a run to the podium moment.
