Ole Miss comes out strong and looks good in the first half. But they lack the coaching acumen to handle the adjustments LSU will make. Kiffin will wait until after halftime, and then totally take them apart
I hear what you are saying, but Kiffin has historically been his best in the first quarter of games running the first 15-20 scripted plays. I think LSU has to score first and hope Mississippi makes a mistake - and then take of advtange of it. I thought last year LSU had a golden chance to go up like 17-3 early but that INT got away from Nuss that should have been a score.

Ole Miss's first 4 posessions last year were:
1Q
1. 3 plays - punt
2. 3 plays - punt
3. 18 plays - FG
2Q
4. 7 plays - punt
It wasn't until the middle of the 2nd quarter that their offense started to get going. Of course, LSU's pathetic offense couldn't do anything to take advantage.

After the lucky TD (which was a bad pass the deflected into the hands of an LSU WR for a TD to make it 7-0) , LSU went:
5 plays - INT
3 plays - punt
3 plays - punt
4 plays - punt
5 plays - punt
That was not a good OM defense. In fact, the 19 points scored by LSU was T-2nd lowest point total an SEC opponent scored against OM. Only South Carolina scored fewer (14) and Miss. St. tied (19). Those two teams won a COMBINED two (2) SEC games all season.
OM's offense will be ok next season, but Kiffin and his staff were the "secret sauce". They are now on LSU's sideline. And there's no reason to think Pete's defense will be great...because it has never been great at OM.
Pete is going to be Sherrone Moore 2.0. He'll be good enough to beat many of the crappy teams, but he's not getting to the heights the former coach got to.

Last year single game is definitely an exception - I said historically for a reason.

With that coach they won't be.

This thread is very similar to the pre games threads for the game at UCLA, vs/at FL St. and vs USC

Let’s just say I’ll be having a couple of Hotty toddies after the game

Hotty toddy is the dumbest saying in the history of sports sayings. F’ng geeks

They think “Hotty Toddy” makes them sound like social elites. You really get to know these people and their delusion about their standing in society is unmatched.

I’ve seen enough of these to know it should be a tight one. This has reverse ‘14 all over it.

A complete shite show semi riot at the completion of the game.

LSU will have some tight moments and officiating will be problematic. But midway through the 4th quarter, LSU pulls away for the victory.
Some hateful Ole Miss fans will run onto the field at some point and attempt to approach the LSU bench. They will get tackled hard by sideline players inciting the crowd for a bit.

I think we beat them. My concern is with all the hoopla and build up from media and all around that game is we have to face A&M the next week. At least they are at home just wondering how we will respond after Ole Miss week. Kind of wish Mc Neese was the next game but it is what it is

Things that concern me most is not only how we play but how we come out of it injury wise. A&M is next up.
Clemson, LaTech, Ole Miss and TAMU is a horrendous start.

I think it will be an incredibly anticipated game with LSU having the game in hand by halftime and the OM pussies crying into their bow ties. frick OM and every pussy that backed them.
Prediction
LSU- 37
OM- 17
Prediction
LSU- 37
OM- 17

42-38 Tigers. Tied 35-35 in the 4th. Ole Piss hits a 63 yd FG with that dude who has a cannon for a leg but they leave too much time on the clock. Sam and the boys push it down field and Tredez catches the game winner with seconds left on the clock. May it be!

We’re not losing that game.
I’m more confident that we’ll best Ole Miss than McNeese and Louisiana Tech.

I can see the SEC giving Ole Piss a moral victory at home for LSU getting Kiffin to leave them. If the officials call a legit game LSU wins.
