Just trying to find you a safe space to sort out your confusion

You don’t have to take my word for it. Cross the Atlantic and be laughed out of a pub yourself
If you have a crush on me though we can take it elsewhere

quote:Sure
Do you think the US would benefit from having our best athletes be given dedicated soccer coaching and training from the time they could walk?
But that applies to everyone
Including the non-athletic freaks that actually dominate the modern sport
Though I guess we can focus development targeting the less impactful
Like a retarded Pareto principle

They were arse and seeing ghosts because Poch got the tactics all wrong to open the match and Belgium knew everything we were doing.
Players don't see ghosts that easily unless it's in their own heads

Do you think it wise for the Federation to build its development philosophy around an n of 1 or just focus on pulling the obvious levers we all know would actually make a difference
"We" being the lofty elite who actually follow the sport, of course

Yeah. Turns out it's not particularly viable unless you're an exceptionally rare case
And the son of an EPL regular
Unfortunately that's a small n

Just because we had more of the ball when we were chasing the game, doesn't mean he made the correct adjustments
The players were a level of arse tonight that makes tactics moot

quote:Nah. You’re just fundamentally confused about the importance of raw athleticism in the game and what’s actually holding the country back from joining the ranks of the powers
You clearly think Americans are genetically inferior
Freak athletes not playing the sport ain’t it, unfortunately. Would be nice if it were tho

The list of in-prime managers who are willing to take 4 years off from their club careers to coach an afterthought national team is not particularly large. It's kind of wild we got him for 2 years and he would even consider more
Since we're likely to host the 2028 Copa America, a middle ground is we give him another 4 year contract and make the 2030 call based off of it

then why are you, presumably an American, on an American website talking about the sport with Americans yet not calling it by the common American name
1. It's the name of the sport as said aloud by 95% of the associated media I consume
2. I assume Americans aren't retarded and can use context clues to put things together
It could just be an Aggy thing, I don't know. But it's either way it's sad!

Why did you call the sport football?
Next time do you need context clues to know what football I was talking about? I can accommodate to help you out

How can I help your confusion
re: I know it’s cliche, but our best athletes would dominate Soccer.

quote:This is a macro cultural argument that at its core has nothing to do with athleticism
The discussion was if you took our athletes and changed the culture where our elite athletes aspired to be soccer players what would happen
Global star composition makes clear that if said shift happened, the physique of the USMNT would still be far closer to that of the GOAT (midget) than the lab grown athlete you have in your head
This is sooooo basic
re: I know it’s cliche, but our best athletes would dominate Soccer.

Not being a retard or oblivious to basic realities regarding the sport doesn’t make me a savant
It just makes me not a retard
Best of luck trying to understand it tho

quote:The US hasn’t lost a game on account of athleticism in decades. If you were familiar with our standing in the sport, you’d know we are regarded as one of the more athletic teams. It loses due to relative lack of technical skill
Yet you think somehow athleticism population and desire go completely out the window and Americans are genetically inferior for soccer.
You’re surely aware of that, right? Cause this is basic
So why the confused manifesto above?
