re: How crazy is it that Brian Kelly fired Tommy Moffitt
Posted by RemouladeSawce on 5/21/26 at 8:33 pm to T1gerNate
1. Brian Kelly sucked and did not field an SEC worthy team
2. Moffitt doesn’t offer the value he once did and Kelly was right to move on if the goal was to field a championship program
3. He misfired with his replacement
These are not mutually exclusive realities, retards

Destiny 2 is ending while they are still putting money and effort behind Marathon…. You tell me
The fact that they neglected the Destiny 2 faithful and just gave up after The Final Shape in favor of this mid game no one gives a shite about is an inevitable case study in strategic delusion

Y’all play but Shader is the truth and you know it. When he wins an MVP in two years you will see the light.

Shedeur Sanders finished the 2025 season with an 18.9 QBR, which ranks as the fifth-worst single-season mark among 696 qualifying quarterbacks since ESPN's metric was created in 2006. It was statistically a historically poor rookie campaign, highlighted by the lowest QBR average in Cleveland Browns franchise history for any quarterback with at least six starts.

Conference-worst 5.86 ERA says it all
Since Yeskie took over LSU pitching has been carried by transfers. If Evans is what development looks like under him we're fricked and he has to go

We didn't even play a tough SEC schedule
Posted by RemouladeSawce on 5/16/26 at 7:38 pm
4 of the 5 SEC teams we didn't play this year finished in the Top 7 of the conference. It’s nigh impossible to draw an easier schedule

Moo State 2006 12-17 (37–23), Did not make the SEC Tournament
Vanderbilt 2009 12-17 (37-27) Lost in SEC Tournament finals (3-1)
Alabama 2021 12-17 (32–26) Won 2 in SEC Tournament (2-2)
Oddly enough, they all were 12-17 because one game was cancelled. And another oddity is that if LSU wins out, they will end up 32-26.
So I am back to maybe if LSU wins out and wins 2 SEC tournament games, they could get a bid. I don't expect all that to happen, but it would look a lot like 2021 Bama if they did.
We’re sitting at 57 with 95% of our regular season played. We aren’t even on the bubble finishing 12-18
Also, not all 12-win seasons are created equally. This has been an easier than average schedule - 4 of the 5 SEC teams we didn’t play this year are in the top half of the conference. And the 4 best SEC teams we have played are 12-0 against us
A bid to the tournament could not be less deserved

Gang of Eight Neocon. It really isn't that hard to see
Neocon saber rattling entails consistent allusion to force. His is consistently towards sanctions and exerting soft power. They also don’t go this long without playing the “spreading democracy” card. A true neocon can’t wear a fake mask on these fronts without it slipping in their words and actions. They don’t make good diplomats

Rubio is McCain in a sombrero
McCain’s moniker was maverick. He was a decrepit warmonger who did things his way, everyone else be dammed
Rubio has always toed the party line and has shown the world that it’s possible to execute “America First” policy that genuinely advances our ambitions (particularly in our hemisphere as if it’s a rebirth of Monroe Doctrine) and weakens our enemies without being disproportionately heavy handed. History is going to look back incredibly fondly on his tenure as SecState. He's kicked arse. You can point to shite like his 99-0 confirmation vote as evidence he’s “compromised by the uniparty” or whatever, but it’s way easier to just argue his peers in the chamber knew he’d do the country a great service taking the role
If you aren’t impressed because neither he nor Vance hug far sufficiently right, the current POTUS is the definition of center-right. They’re in fine company

Sad thing is we will only play 5 of the Top 9 teams in the conference. We are 0-12 against them. UF may genuinely make it 0-15
We played every Bottom 7 half team other than Mizzou and went 9-6. Going 3-0 against dogshit USC is the high point of the season

quote:Nothing controversial, it’s objectively accurate. McGriff had him in HR power but Votto was the better overall hitter. And the difference in quality players hitting around him isn’t even close, Votto ends up a consensus Top 10 all time 1B if he has players like Justice/Grissom/Chipper, Gwynn, Bell/Barfield, or Boggs more consistently in scoring position or protecting him
Votto’s stats outweigh Fred McGriff (another controversial HOF take)
