Its terrible. And its everywhere. Saints included. I think its mainly a distraction for the 3 minute TV timeouts.

PMAC for AC. But I occasionally get the urge for Chick Fila.
Aside from kids ruining it, staffing on game day is probably not easy for the fast food outlets.

Judgement aside, that table throw is pretty impressive.

There are zero apartments that have visibility of the practice fields.
re: Tips for Visiting Tiger Stadium?

Come Friday, see some things, experience the tailgating early Saturday and head to New Orleans 2 hours before LSU kicks off, maybe after you experience the tiger walk at Victory Hill. The way you describe the situation, going to such a big game might turn into a huge hassle for a first timer. Logistics are not in your favor.
Saints are at home Sunday which could affect your drive time Sunday to and from the conference and airport. Heck of a weekend for a conference.

re: Football team staying on campus night before home games in 2026

Can’t imagine there’s anything to do around campus on a game weekend to tempt a good looking athlete into not getting a good nights sleep.

They had previously lost to Memphis and T Tech that year. Had no shot to a NC but were trying to get to Atlanta.
re: Has your interest in college / LSU football changed with the NIL/Portal era?
Posted by ClintonTigerMS on 7/25/26 at 4:12 pm to Everyday Is Saturday
As a lifelong fan, I can’t make myself lose interest even though it seems like I should. We are definitely being played by the system. I just have to pretend harder.

They would easily sell out their new home stadium against us and they could charge more for the game.
They would not only sell out their game against us but also would probably see a huge uptick in season ticket sales. There’s no argument that this wouldn’t be good for Tulane.
For whatever reason, beating Tulane seems more respectable than beating the other LA teams. I like it.
re: How long do you think it will be until Death Valley is renamed after someone or a biz?
Posted by ClintonTigerMS on 7/17/26 at 2:20 pm to sidewalkside
AI says pro stadiums get about $4 to $7 million per year on ten year deals. But do you want Raisin Canes to put up $50 million to name the stadium or $50 million for NIL?
re: Ole Miss Game
Posted by ClintonTigerMS on 7/16/26 at 8:05 pm to Brlaf77
LSU fans should be much more worried about parking than Ole Miss fans’ behavior. This is so much bigger than the Eli game and I remember that for that game if you weren’t parked by 8:00am, you missed kickoff.
The town is 25,000 population. It’s going to be absolute gridlock.

College baseball is at an all time high in popularity. If it ain't broke....
re: Kiffin's Offense Will Produce Immediately
Posted by ClintonTigerMS on 7/16/26 at 5:14 am to iamandykeim
A Kiffin offense is definitely fun to watch. It all starts with the QB. He had some outstanding QBs during that run. If we have what we think we have at that position, this year should be a blast to watch.
re: Anything good to do in Oxford Mississippi ?
Posted by ClintonTigerMS on 7/15/26 at 12:14 pm to LivingstonLaw
Don't plan on doing anything or going anywhere that weekend. Its a very small town and will be massively over crowded that weekend. Its over crowded even when its not game day.
That said, its a great little town to visit when school is out. Go see Faulkner's house. Ajax or City Grocery if you can get in for lunch or dinner. Taylor Grocery is about 20 minutes out of town and is worth the experience.

To be “little brother” and irrelevant to us sure doesn’t reconcile with the length of threads about UM.

Come on, that’s a little harsh. There’s very nice hotels and restaurants on Corporate and some great VRBOs in the Garden District. Not to mention downtown. Elsie’s?

Ole Miss for sure. But then I remember that we stormed the field the last two times we beat them. The rivalry is back for sure, at least for a year or two.

Notre Dame has more Sept 1 National Championships than anybody. By a long shot.

According to AI, they claim 1959, 1960 and 1962 National championships with 1960 being the only one recognized by the NCAA.
Interestingly, in those days the final AP poll was conducted before the bowl games.

Sorry, but I watche plenty of UL and USM games on ESPN+ this year. I have a friend with a son on the USM team. Every game they played this year was streamed. It’s not just the SEC and ACC.

Virtually all college baseball games are streamed on ESPN+ except the big expo tournaments in Houston and Dallas. I doubt Biloxi or whoever controls that stadium would try to control TV rights of a tournament. They just want people in the seats.
