Tennessee had trouble filling their baseball stadium before it was expanded. Dudy Noble is spectacular and packed every game. Two completely different classes of baseball experiences.

As for the Box, any upgrades will certainly be suites and clubs. Won’t benefit me at all. There’s no money in upgrading bleachers.

We got lucky on the weather report for this weekend. About 7 days ago it was in the low 30’s at dusk. That’s not baseball weather. Anybody who got ever jammed by an inside fastball on a February night can vouch for that.
TJ Ribs. Nice folks. Not a bad place. Just an impossible traffic jam between 3:30 and 6:00pm.
I watched the whole Seahawks Saints game this year. Campbell should not take a manhandling personally. They did that to a lot of people.
This thread should have died quietly, not revived.
Wrong, $300 gets you in every game IF there is availability. You basically get a decent seat to non conference games, and SRO to conference games. Sometimes nothing but that’s rare.

To clarify for some who commented on this post. I did the $300 last year. Got actual seats to 80% of games. Got SRO to most SEC games. A handful of games I never got the text. Yes, they are supposed to text, but coincidentally the games in which I got no text were near-record crowds. So call me wrong if you want to, but that was my experience. FYI at the crowded games, SRO is hardly worth it, people are standing five deep.

I think it was a worthwhile investment if you can make 15-20 games.
Upgrades are welcome. Expansion not so much. More clubs and premium seats are the trend now. Even bathroom upgrades will probably result in higher ticket prices.
Ole Miss’ stadium is already far better than Tiger stadium. It is not nearly as large, but a whole lot nicer…

Um, no. The South Endzone is very nice as is the upper West Club. Both relatively new. The home side (West) has not been upgraded since 1940 and is pathetic and the new bowled in North endzone is just metal bleachers. The west side is so bad that they actually announced they would completely replace it and sacrifice about 20,000 seats for two full seasons while they built it new. I think they abandoned that plan
I don’t see the big deal. There’s an article directly under this thread with a headline about LSU being investigated, then Ross posts on X that other schools are being investigated besides LSU. Good of him to point it out.
Agree. Since moving here I have always wondered why somebody didn’t buy all the boarded up buildings around Tigerland and North Gate. The return on investment has to be higher than throwing money at players. Hotels built on the golf course would stay booked solid for nine months.
Not to mention, college tennis is free to attend, and it’s a lot more fun than professional tennis. I’m sure they would appreciate a few more loud fans.

2021 is supposed to make me feel old? I wish!!!!
Interesting. I can see the day when the minors consolidate again like they did in 2021. Let the colleges bear the cost of development, then shorten the track through the minors.

But to your point, if you get stuck a few years in A or AA, a college scholarship and some NIL could be attractive. They would be in the minority of athletes that might appreciate a college degree.
The TV contracts are bigger for MBB than WBB or baseball. But definitely not the crowds.
Nothing will please Lane more than to take a knee at the one yard line four times in a row when there’s still a few minutes on the clock, all the while knowing the TV cameras have been on him the entire series. He will eat that up.
Pretty sure after watching the Tennessee fans do what they did, Ole Miss will try to say "not us." But there's always a handful of nuts in every stadium.
It stops when the boosters come to their senses and quit writing checks. I agree it’s not sustainable. I also think it will get worse before it gets better, possibly a decade or more, and as long as things keep headed down the NIL road, we have the right coaches in FB and baseball.
Another post about the team we supposedly look down on, but are obsessed about.
Yeah, somebody is going to endure TSA security so they can taunt Indiana fans in the terminal. Got it. Are you old enough to fly?
For all of Hugh Freeze's shortcomings, he had Bama and Saban's number like Kiffin never did at Ole Miss
Nobody seems to be boycotting Lee Drive in Baton Rouge. Geez it's packed every day!
Ole Miss vs LSU 2025 was much closer than people think?

Ole Miss outgained LSU 480-254 and turned the ball over twice to our once. It was actually much worse than the score, not closer.

Swap coaches in 2025 and yes, LSU might have won.
Yes, you are old fashioned. Most of us are. If we win, we all look the other way. On the other hand, if these mercenaries don't win, the leash is so much shorter. Spend $30 million on new players. Let them lose 2 games and the stadium will be empty.

I'm optimistic we win.

There's something sad here, I just can't find the words.
Relax. If Miami runs the ball like they can, they run the clock out and kick the FG. Rebs get the 1 point moral victory and the world can return to normal.
