Exactly. Too many internet lawyers are stirring this up.
No kidding. We keep bragging about enrollment increases. Well, the flood gates are open. In two years we will be talking about retention because so many of this year's freshmen are not college ready and will be dropping out. We are headed for a cliff like Thelma and Louise. I'm already hearing about the quality of the last few freshman classes.
The longer it drags out the worse for LSU, I agree on that comment. But if LSU loses, a booster steps in and pays and makes this go away. But there is absolutely zero chance this goes to court. Every big money LSU booster knows we can't let this drag on more than a week or so. This is wrapped up before Western Kentucky. Or its doomsday.

Moscona doesn't need to feed the internet rumor beast. No way this goes to court. Zero chance. This has to get settled in the next two weeks, period.
I dislike him a lot less now that he is gone
Got it. I still don't think Gordon's comments help LSU's case about firing for cause as he is clearly in the inner circle. Seems like a meeting at the governor's office would be a little more top secret than that.
Wait, he was in the meeting? And he is saying out loud that he was not fired for cause? Its just keeps getting worser.
Woodward had it lined up. They they blew up Woodward. Now we are adrift.
I don't call having $30 million in the bank "ruined."
Woodward would not have fired Kelly unless he had the booster money lined up to do it. Hate Woodward all you want, but either fire him before you fire Kelly and then go round up the buyout money for Kelly, or fire Kelly and get the buyout done then fire Woodward. You don't run off Woodward at the midpoint between firing Kelly and wrapping up the buyout. We are literally stranded with a $50 million liability and no booster to pay it. That's behind this desperation move.
Has to be Landry. He caused this whole mess. Say what you want about Kelly’s contract, Woodward had the booster relationships to back the contract when it was signed and he had the booster relationships to fire Kelly and get the buyout done. And then Landry blew up Woodward. And here we are.
Which coach would you not like to have? Johnson? Mulkey? Pretty sure the seven figure boosters don’t agree with you.
That’s exactly what is happening. Not a peep out of Kelly or the school, but weeks of internet speculation and angst.

Likely the hard core fans will be on here bitching about Kelly and poking fun at Kiffin and Ole Miss. The empty seats will attract a top tier coach for sure.

Look at Mel Kipers NCAA position rankings at midseason. Kiffin has gotten to 9-1 without a QB, RB, WR, OL or defensive player on Kipers list of top ten at each position. I think that takes pretty good coaching. Imagine if he had more resources.

He knows he will never have more negotiating power than right now. As long as it appears that LSU might not abide by its contract, how does that play for the negotiation with the next coach? Supposedly an incentive laden contract for the next guy, I would question the likelihood that I would get those incentive payments or would it all be re-negotiated when it’s time to pay? This is a bad look for LSU no matter how bad Kelly was.
Well, Kiffin signed the #1 and #3 transfer classes in 2024 and 2025, so I’d start with their roster. Of course, the whole country missed on Chambliss.
As unpopular as Kelly is (and deservedly so) he still has some cards. A drawn out legal battle over terms of a contract don't exactly help us land the next guy.
