well he doesn't have sec caliber players either. wtf are you talking about ? you only bring up weak competition over the long term when you have the same caliber of players. you cant say he sucks because he cant dominate bigger and better programs with inferior talent.

I believe he's better focusing only as a DC and I believe he's better at LSU than Baylor.

He didn't schedule enough mid-Conference USA and American Athletic Conference teams or Baylor could have been right up there with Utah, Texas Tech and Wake Forest in the top 10 and 20 teams. Wake Forest, as an example, is 7-1, ranked 17th and will be 8-1 after it plays Merrimack this week. What a joke.

He didn’t call the defense at baylor. I think getting and keeping a good OC after Grimes flamed out was also a problem.

Anyone who doesn't remember the teeth gnashing during the 2019 season about Aranda and his defense has selective memory. They finished the year ranked 44th, despite having 10 of 11 starters going on to have NFL careers, and 16 total counting backups.
And I know, I know. Muh offense scored so fast that they had to play too many snaps. BS.

Aranda's only weakness as a DC was recruiting and that literally doesn't matter anymore. If BB decides to go be a HC then I'd love to have Aranda back.

During the 2019 season, there were many injuries and players playing with injuries for at least the first half of the season. The defense became much better later after that

We could do much worse than Aranda.
