You do know that being DC is very different from being a HC right?
This is the truth. Some coaches are just better being coordinators than head coaches.

Spags at KC and Vance Joseph at Denver come to mind as perfect examples. They both had their chances at HC after being successful DC's and screwed the pooch. But when they went back to being coordinators they excelled.

No reason Aranda doesn't fit in that mold as well. But I guess we'll see.

noticed you didn’t post this year’s stats. Baylor put money towards their defense this year. They’re, *checks notes*, 12th in scoring defense this year. I’m sure that means nothing and had nothing to do with you accidentally omitting this year….

He also brought in klanderman and his entire system this yr. So it wasn't really aranda or his system. It was joe klanderman.

Well the logic in your OP suggests you’re at least smart enough to put Legos together.

During the 2019 season, there were many injuries and players playing with injuries for at least the first half of the season. The defense became much better later after that

Also, having the most explosive offense in the history of college football, will do a lot to set the statistical tone of a defense. Anyone who can’t understand that, is someone who doesn’t understand a lot about the game.
