Lauscha and Loomis aren't going anywhere. People need to get that point in their head. They are tied to the entire organization thru the will. Now they could be a title in name only place holder and hire someone that runs the Saints correctly but that ain't happening either. So she can talk tough and fire head coaches but the real issue starts at the very top. And those 2 will never be fired. End of story.

You would think at some point they would hit on some pick since it's basically a 50-50 proposition in the 1st round. You really have to try and pick the wrong players to have a streak like the Saints have had.

Exactly. People need to realize he isnt going anywhere. Im sure in the will there is a section saying he either gets a cut of the sale, gets to keep his job until he wants to retire, or he gets a piece of the Saints as he will become minority owner.

Tank for the number 1 pick. Trade away for 3 to 4 future 1st round picks and any other picks a team is willing to give you.

2 years. It doesnt matter how much money you spend. You need super stars, stars, up and coming, back ups, and role players. It takes time to install your scheme. Also you cant have all these portal players from other conferences. Sometimes they shine and sometimes you miss. I much prefer to recruit players from high school and let them grow in the SEC instead of getting players in the portal. I know it's a different game now with NIL and the portal but it just seems that you have a higher chance of missing than you do on hitting in the portal. I believe Lane said something to that also, about wanting Lousiana players more so than portal players but needing to go portal heavy in year 1 to try and fill needs.

It's not and watch the donors tighten the purse strings next year. It's hard to ask for money when you put out a losing product. Lane may get a year to acclimate. He may be able to say he needs time to build depth but at some point in the near future he will have to produce and produce at a high level.
