In 2018, this WR, who was verbally committed to Kansas, flipped to LSU. I'm kind of glad he did.

Chase was a double flip. He flipped from Kansas to Florida and from Florida to LSU.

The bullshite that both Texas and Texas A&M sell
they prey on kids from poor backgrounds that don't know any better and think that being adjacent to people with wealth and nice things makes you wealthy or raises your social status.

There ain't a single oil tycoon in Texas that's ever going to think football recruits are even close to their equals. Their whole reason for contributing to NIL is to raise their own profile and ego.

I’ve heard a big A&M booster say after the 2022 class/debacle simply state that they, “bought the wrong ones” and used more colorful language. They do not care for any student athlete, it’s simply just a dick measuring competition in Houston and Dallas areas.

Last I heard UT had a seven figure NIL commitment for him

No one still involved with him is less than 7 figures. Reported that he'll be approaching/surpassing 2 mil total package.(independent of Lonns report) Whether that's 1 year or multiple is unknown at the moment. He'll be a top 5 minimum highest paid player in his class year 1. More than Jeremiah Smith made year 1. That's just us and we are third in the bidding apparently. Wouldnt get my hopes up landing him. It seems the UF noise is legit. Not to land but in better standing than us. We shall see.

It’s an LSU, Texas battle, and everyone knows it. I still don’t think he’s leaving the state.

IMO, it's 50/50 right now. Texas does still have Cam Coleman, so there's that. LSU really needs to land Royal to get this WR room started again from the bottom up.

This. Im sure the staff mentions this but it can never be understated, when a Louisiana kid plays for LSU and makes an impact you are a living legend in this state. The people here just care more for these guys. The state will literally take care of you when your playing days are up and people here will never forget your name. Kiffin says its different here. Im sure this is what he means. We just care so much more for our young athletes and want to see them succeed. There is so much pride suiting up for LSU. Its like wearing the state colors and knowing all of LA has your back.

There's not a single person that doesn't look like him in Louisiana is going to think he is their equal either. You are talking like it's not fake love amongst LSU fans.

Hate to say it but these wealthy white people aren’t gonna want anything to do with him once he is done unless he’s like an all timer even then. With NIL, that money and time is needed for the next signing class, if you out of eligibility, then they out of interest.

Texas will put a bow on his NIL deal this weekend. Royal will double down on his commitment to Texas. He will say he is shutting down his recruiting and is not taking anymore visits official and unofficial.

But I sure hope I’m wrong…

lol overblown. Our guys do very well. Ask any of our former players that are currently killing it in the league and in endorsements if they missed out.

Said something similar yesterday. Texas or not I was never sold on him being part of the "best in the boot stay in the boot" mantra. He said a while back that if his recruitment was about money he'd have flipped already. And I understand he just saying what he was supposed to say since no kid actually says flat out it's only about the money. But I just can't see him caring about staying home but fingers crossed cause I'd love for him to be the next legendary homegrown wr

It's hard to remember but I'm guessing Tony Hull had a lot to do with Chase looking at Kansas. Makes you wonder what would have happened had Pooka came here. But I'm glad Chase flipped to the good guys.

I swear. All of these racist people projecting their hatred for people on to everyone else is ridiculous. Just because all you think about is skin color doesn't mean everyone is like you.
