Wasn’t trying to be a Dbag at all. I see how it could come off that way. Just seems like anytime the question “how much do you bench” the answer is very rarely actually the number the person can lay down and bench right now. It’s always I used to do this or “back when I was...” doesn’t matter if it’s on the internet or talking to a friend or coworker.

Dunno. Can do 240 for 10, on flat bench.

Heavens no, lol.

Doesn’t matter how fast, strong, smart, or good looking you are; if you aren’t 6’2” or above, there is no room for discussion for you.

i agree. but to be fair most people on here are smart enough to understand testing is not training and are very rarely finding a true max.

275.

Gonna run through a bench routine soon and it’ll be back to 315+ in 6 weeks.

And for some of us finding a true max is part of our training.. we all train for different reasons. I’m not mad at anyone for their reason they train. I wish more people would take the time to train and see how much better their life is. We may be better off as a society lol

Nah. But maybe at your current weight. Don't blow a gasket. I've left C/J and snatch in the past.

As for a max anything, I haven't gone for a one rep max since on the weightlifting team in high school.

I don’t use barbells but my bench max is 85 lb dumbells at 10 reps. Will try 90 if elbow joints feel good.

Last time I maxed on bench was a year ago or so and I hit 260. I repped 225 for 8 earlier today so I’m pretty sure I could do more right now. I weigh 160.

Best ever is 340 at 170lb in Jan 2020. Right now, probably sitting around 285ish at 160, but I think my days of actually testing my real 1RM are behind me.

300x3 with dumbbells. I can't bench w/ barbell without destroying my shoulders apparently :(

This thread reeks of OT Board energy, I believe about 4-5 people in this thread because they post in the Daily thread.

Right now my touch and go max is 245, and 235 paused. Started doing 5x3s and 3x10s to try to increase volume.

I'm 50 years old and weigh 215. I did 3 reps at 275 yesterday after doing 3 sets of 10 @ 225. My 1RM ever was 315 last year but work schedule has kept me out of the gym for the last month for the most part. Hopefully be back to 315 by summer along with shedding about 15 pounds of fat.

I always wonder about the equipment and form people are using also. Doesn't really matter, but I do wonder. I've seen people refer to a smith machine bench or a chest press machine as bench before.

I'm benching out of a cage with a Rogue Ohio powerbar and Rep bumper plates, for example. Slowish touch and go reps, paused at the top for a new breath.

Lol - this thread also reminds me of a troll thread on BB.com forums years ago. A guy started a thread with a similar question. After pages of responses, he edited the thread title to What’s the heaviest guy/girl you’ve ever smashed”

lol...John Ham or Sao did that on the OT a few years ago, too. The answers were awesome.
