Started doing this in McComb MS a few weeks back as well.

why wouldn't the person selling the old zippo for $2 sell it for more then?

We do this with coins, silver and gold. Plenty of people have no idea what stuff is worth. Had a lady and her husband come in with a roll of gold US coins. They were looking to sell/exchange at $10 because that's what they were. They were shocked when the offer was much much higher. She had given 2 away, and showed back up a week later with them to sell.

direct buriable ethernet cable

This was my original plan. There are some obstacles but the more I research the more I think it's the way to go.
Where was the leak? Mine had a slow leak at the valve on the outside unit where the lines connect. The actual valve was leaking by.

Starlink and a metal building

Just installed Starlink at my dads new place. He has a metal building with his office he works out of next to the house. Obviously WiFi signal is weak inside the building. The Starlink Router is about 60 feet away from the shop, inside the house.

I am looking at adding a WAVLINK AX1800 to the outside of the shop. Anyone with experience in this being enough? Or does there need to be another router plugged into it inside the shop? I am a tech idiot. Thanks.

160 feet deep, tank, pump etc, Osyka MS, $5300 5 months ago. Local guy been doing it forever.

frame size is small enough to get into the woods

This is often overlooked. Guy down the road bought a "bigger is better" cab Kubota and is always damaging the cab/glass trying to fit in the woods. I have a L2501 and love it in the woods, but I would love 10-15 more HP and lifting capacity time to time. HP and size wise I'd vote for the 4701.

Other than them bringing you gifts, happy with the function of the door? Been looking at them but questioned the reliability.

Our female Tuxedo cat is 50/50 in and out, she is an absolute mouse and bird killer. Field mice are near extinct around the farm now.
Set it on the edge of my truck bed on morning. We had just gotten back from a 16 day trip out west with various hotel stays and camping. I assumed I had left it somewhere we camped or a hotel employee had come across it and not reported it. A few days after I bought a replacement I found it in the ditch across the street.

People who want aftertreatment to go away have zero understanding of how it works or what it accomplishes. You get rid of DEF, you are back to shitloads of EGR, horrible fuel economy, and busted up garbage engines like we had prior to 2008. Do you REALLY want 11mpg and worn out engines at 100k miles so you don't have to buy DEF?

Every 12 valve, 24 valve VP pump and 5.9 common rail Cummins says hello.....
Moved from Texas to MS January of 23. Don't regret it at all. Downsized, built a 40x60 shop on 10 acres and got a bunch of chickens. Property tax, wind storm and homeowners during and after Covid did it for me.
LS Swap a Jeep TJ.
LS Swap a Volvo wagon.
Did not do the wiring on either.
Super Duty axle swap on a new JL with a 3 link front and 4 link rear.
Various crossmember and fab work on Jeeps and Toyotas.
Rebuild a Cummins out of a 96 12 valve I had.

Dinner Bell in McComb still has the lazy susan, pretty much the same menu. It's decent enough food.

We wanted 2 showers in an open "wet room" area and a big soaking tub. We shower together 99% of the time and it gets cramped in a normal sized single shower. Just the shower takes up a good bit of room. She also likes to keep all of her hair and makeup junk in drawers, so that expanded the size of the vanity area. Add in a floor to ceiling cabinet for the towels, medicine etc... Plus we always had small bathrooms and just hated them. When we are getting ready we like plenty space. You need a lot of space to get far enough from the mirror to take good selfies anyway.

There isn't a right or wrong, just what we did and spaces we didn't want or wanted when we downsized overall.

We did it about 3 years ago. We had 10 acres of pasture and fell out of love with the city life and everything that went with it.

We ended up doing 3 rounds of decluttering. Started with the mindset of if we hadn't used it in a year, or said "I didn't know we had this" it went out the door. The 2nd round was me throwing away half the stuff she "needed" and the 3rd was a "do we really need this" type of deal. Letting go of all the junk you have is the biggest hurdle IMO.

Then we had to decide on house size. We laid out room sizes with tape and really thought about it. Most people are surprised how small our bedroom is, but really all we do in there is sleep. Our closet is fairly large so we don't have to have a dresser in the bedroom. We wanted a huge bathroom so we spent money on that, it's almost twice the size of our bedroom. We ended up with right at 1100 sq living, 2bed 2 bath. Spending time laying it all out beforehand was the key in designing the spaces.

We also aren't huge on having company or big parties so that wasn't much of a consideration. The island seats 5, and we can pop up a table for 4 or 5 more if need be. Most of the time me and the wife are cooking and picking up when we do have guests so we aren't competing for a chair to sit in.

At first we weren't sure about it all but it's been nice. After a while you start to realize how much you were spending to just have space and stuff.

I have 2 Pioneers, 3 heads on each. They have been great.
I've had an MS250 for probably 10 years. I use it several times a year, each time is typically 4 tanks of fuel at least. I ran 10 tanks through it yesterday cutting up a larger oak. It's always been a beast.
There is a large market for simple mid sized trucks and SUVs. Body on frame, reliable NA V6, a real transfer case and, dare I say, 3 pedals. Throw a decent sized screen with care play in it and you will attract a portion of males in all generations.

Bring back the Titan in a simple V8 gas guzzling form and it'll sell due to the lack of simple reliable options.

Don't gig your brothers foot, he will cry like the soft little baby he is.

My son games a lot and we have Starlink. If lagging was an issue I would hear him screaming about it at 3AM. So far no complaints.
