I can’t wait for AI to truly discover the “worth” of a YouTube view
I think it’s exponentially overvalued and I think many companies are starting to see that. It’s purely been valued on engagement metrics with no real thought what those metrics mean
I’ll give it to these nerds, their conversion rates are insane. It’s why they get paid so much with exponentially less eyeballs than regular tv.

The Calloway golfers in a landslide
The top 5 Callaway pros made about 41 million.
Good Good made 45 off selling a minority stake in their ownership alone. That doesn’t factor in their apparel sales which is more.
100 million dollar company…till today.
Still in good shape unless they panic. Which I wouldn’t bet against

They sold part of their company for an investment. That isn’t “making money”
Good good made about 40 million in total revenue last year. Not profit, revenue. That’s equal to Xander or Burns alone

Like I said, I’m a Luddite.
I do look at some simple golf videos and equipment reviews, but I don’t really do the reality type stuff.

Xander and Burns made just a bit over 16 million so far this year.

You see a number of courses you might not ever have been aware of.
It’s how I first learned of Purcell Farms.

And now the Big Break is cancelled.
That sucks, I was looking forward to it.
Im starting to think yall are right and these companies are looking for an excuse to no longer work with these guys

I love his pod, The Sweet Spot, and his books, but I had to unfollow his YouTube channel. It's the same stuff over and over again and he plays all the typical YouTube content creator cards. I feel like he has to do it to make money, but it's disappointing.

God, this country sucks.

The ironic part is the ad seems to be Garrett trying to protect the girl from touching the driver and becoming obsessed. Haven’t seen the movie but the last part of the commercial implies that. Dumb commericial. Probably a ton of women in the company that produced and approved it, the the guys are the ones that get fricked.

Man pushes woman off railroad tracks from train. Twitter libs would want him jailed for domestic violence. Absurd.

Where are you getting this information? I’ve never seen any financial data on them

The Sweet Spot,
Yep.
I love their pod and listen often, but man they beat the hell out of quite a few dead horses on that show.

Is this even getting much play outside of internet golf???
I feel like much bigger scandals, involving much more popular brands/sports, have resulted in less self-inflicted blowback. GoodGood dropping their PGA event sponsorship, Golf Channel cancelling Big Break, Calloway dropping them entirely, Dicks and Target removing everything. It's crazy. I feel like pulling the ad and issuing a 75 word apology statement on Monday would have been more than enough for not one person to remember this by next week.
Like is the outrage really that much that GoodGood as a brand is now totally nuked? Where is it coming from? Even lib arse reddit, from what I've seen, has a lot of posters confused by the fallout from this.

I think I'd be fine if Jon had his own show. Adam Young does nothing for me. Once you notice how often he brings up his own teaching techniques to a guest just so they can say that's a good idea, you notice it every episode.

quote:golf is an elitist game, played by rich people who have kids they spoil so they can have private instructors and play golf, etc, repeat. The big golf brands are no different. They don't want competition. They all see an opportunity to shite on someone they see as a threat and they're jumping on it.

And you have useful idiots like lsupride who will cheer them on.
