Well you’ve done nothing but demonstrate you’re an addled moron and don’t know a thing about them.

Heck even Steve can probably take money from you and he’s terrible.

I saw a post of a woman saying her husband was returning her Callaway clubs

Maybe he's returning them to get a refund at full price. Then wait for all the Callaway gear to go on clearance sale and buy the same clubs a lot cheaper.

Head covers, hats, etc.

There’s a reason they make millions off apparel. Guess what…they still will off their website which is where most of their sales were.

And obviously a huge thing is even giving them hardware branding with the Quantum drivers which is super rare for any manufacturer. Hardware being the biggest profit margins so they were seeing value adding them to hardware. And add to the fact that Good Good was Callaway's biggest bridge to the younger generation. Absolutely none of that figures in they were looking for an out. Good Good is out but that isn't a positive for Callaway.
Yesnit does. They paid them a huge contract. They had to try and make it work. They weren’t going to just quit trying . This allowed them a way out

An out for what? An out for a company that was clearly making them a lot of money? I mean you're being purposefully obtuse here and just saying this because you don't like them. It's weird. Was The Golf Channel looking for an out too since they were bringing back Big Break with Good Good. Apparently when companies have a lot of success and expand their business operations with them it means they are looking for an out.

What makes you think Good Good was making Calloway, the tours the golf channel etc a bunch of money?

Don’t you think maybe; juuuusssst maybe, it was a net negative?

A bunch of money might have been a stretch. There's no way for any of us to really know that.

No, it's pretty obvious that it was a net positive given the rapid expansion of things they were doing with them. You know many business that do more and more and expand their brand with a company that does it while they are impacting them negatively? Companies don't keep expanding with other companies like that if they aren't getting real value.

I mean, don't you think that maybe, juuuuuuuust maybe, they dropped them because of the massive backlash and retailers dropping them was costing them so they did a risk management move?

Where is the backlash? Even Twitter, which is filled with people who want to be offended more than anyone, leans more to “this ain’t that big of a deal”

Nobody is marching, nobody is even really talking about this besides to say “why does everyone care so much?”

It's all over tik tok/instagram/facebook. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not there. And have you not seen retailers dropping them, items being pulled from the shelves and online and shows getting cancelled? Do you not think that is backlash or something? Retailers didn't watch that and immediately say they were dropping them. They dropped them because of the online reaction.

It all seems expensive to me.

I am congenitally cheap though so I buy most of my golf shirts at Amazon, TGW, Greg Norman outlet, and Sam’s.

the fact that all of the above were EXPANDING their business dealings with Good Good, with zero end in site, until this ad.

You don’t have a multi year relationship with multiple hardware collaborations, a branded tv show, or front door advertisements and shelf space if you’re a “net negative.”

The guys were everywhere before this add.

That’s counterintuitive to your own argument.

Show me the protests? Show me people on news channels saying Calloway needs to cut all ties from GG?

Point me that direction. Point me the direction of the woke mob taking over. You can’t. Because it didn’t happen here

All you can produce is some mad people on tik tok and twitter. It didn’t get 1/1,000 the attention of the actual cancel culture crusades from the 2020 era

Outside of the golf world, which is extremely right leaning, this story got no traction at all. It was a fricking blip of a blip

I feel like this quite possibly one of the greatest overreactions I’ve witnessed.

Was the ad in poor taste .. Absolutely, should GG just loose everything… frick no…

Also can I get one of those GG Callys at 90% off???
