What's the current situation with masks in New Orleans restaurants? Still required to enter? Just some places? Not needed at all? I'm headed there tomorrow and would like to know what's in store. TIA

ETA: I've bumped into this update from the 28th. Sound about right?

I’ve found it depends on the place you are going. Most will have disposable to give you if they require it and you don’t have one. I don’t bring masks with me anymore, anywhere I go in NOLA.

I haven’t worn a mask anywhere in New Orleans since they lifted the mask mandate locally. There may a few places that still require it but every bar, restaurant, and store I have been to hasn’t required it.

No masks required anywhere. I have been all over...even very liberal establishments.

Of course, you have to be vaccinated or identify as vaccinated like I do.

Employees still wear them. They want you to wear one but they haven’t been saying anything

Most places have a sign stating that you are required to wear a mask unless you are vaccinated but, the policy is loosely enforced due to the lack of verifiability.

That's been my experience when going to local stores. I see more customers still wearing masks than employees, and I can't blame the employees for not wanting to wear them.

I can't imagine having one of those mouth Kotex's on my face for an entire work shift.

Parleaux Beer Lab and Bacchanal are still requiring masks when moving around as of this past weekend. Both are majority outside establishments yet they are holding onto it for now.

Bring a disposable mask and keep it in your pocket. Some restaurants require them others don't.

Speaking of which, how ridiculous is Steins. You’d think it was April 2020. They’re still doing window service only. If not now, when ?

It's amazing the lengths breweries go to, to virtue signal their guilt away.

Could be due to lack of staffing. Many restaurants are having difficulty hiring staff.
