re: Wouldn't be too surprised if Justin beats both of them out if given the opportunity. - tlsu15
Justin McMillian reminds of a lot of Marcus Randall. An LSU QB who has no business starting over a more talented younger player....

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Update: Officially accepted the new job. They accepted my counter offer on salary and I now am receiving a small raise from my current salary. As an added bonus, I will be getting 5 more PTO days a year than I currently get, cheaper health insurance, an option to buy into a company stock plan...
Now, that is interesting. I would have expected a call to make the offer. That being said, sounds like they are IT folks and this may not be all that uncommon with the unsociable nerd horde.
 It was literally 30 minutes after I walked out of a face to face meeting with the...

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
They just emailed me today saying an offer was being extended for X salary with benefits Y,Z, ZZ, etc. It wasn't a formal offer it was just letting me know they will hold the position for me pending approval of the background check. I responded saying I would like to see the benefits package to ...

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Understand that you can absolutely ask to see information on their benefits package prior to accepting any offer.
I've done this and asked for a salary of about $1,500 ABOVE my current salary and provided them with reasoning that hopefully they buy. Thanks for the help ....

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Good advice. And as another poster said, never get into salary in the interview process if you can avoid it. When they make it known to you that you're the preferred candidate, then you have leverage. If you discuss money in the interview, you could potentially price yourself right out of con...

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Whooooooa........hold up. How do the BENEFITS compare?
I haven't seen the benefits package officially yet (pending my approval after a background check), but from our discussions it appears the benefits are roughly equal at both companies....

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Tell them you are very appreciative of the offer and while you are not looking for a substantial raise, you would be very grateful if they are willing to just match your current salary to make the switch.
See I would like to do this, but would also very much like to try this job o...

re: I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
Why would you say that? You never throw out a number first unless you'll actually take it. That's like negotiation 101. Now you'll look kind of shitty for saying "yeah I know I said it's not about the money, but I want more money." Pretty hypocritical don't you think?
To be fair, I...

I have a job offer on the table - Updated OP - tlsu15
I started looking for a new job at the beginning of the year because my current job's responsibilities now outweigh the pay and there are almost no opportunities for growth (small company). This was my first "career" job and I'm thankful for the opportunity, but after 2.5 years I feel the time is ri...

re: Moscona called O a liar - tlsu15
Other than LSU has a winning record vs. EVERYBODY IN THE SEC West except Bama we are getting left behind. Forget that LSU is 8-3 vs. Aubie in the last 11 games. Forget that LSU is 7-0 vs A&M in the last 7. Forget that LSU is 23-3 vs. State and that LSU leads over Ole Miss and Arkie by wide ...

re: interesting updates from NOLA.com and SECcountry - tlsu15
I have no insider information at all but I do see the ghost of Tony Brown lingering around. EVERYONE had him down for a lock to LSU and Bama showed what they are capable of by pulling all the stops to flip him. Of course, LSU ended up with better cornerbacks in that case, but I don't ever bel...
