re: Who’s your most improved player since when they arrived on campus?
Posted by tlsu15 on 12/2/24 at 4:17 pm
Lacey has a good argument, but I think Savion Jones has been as improved as anyone in the new system.
He was absolutely useless on the edge last year despite his great size. He’s been a consistent force this season. ...

Both Tennessee and Florida had already peaked and were on a decline. Spurrier left and Florida didn’t rebound until the Urban years.
Auburn was pretty good, but nothing like the Bama and UGA teams of today. The SEC hit another level in 2007 when Saban returned.

People also forget the SEC is a much tougher conference today than it was in the first half of the 2000s.
1 playoff appearance in the last 12 years certainly doesn’t put us in the elite category anymore. It won’t be long before the recruits weren’t even born during the Les Miles era. ...

Mallveto coaching defense in 2008 or Slortez on offense in 2024? The results of the seasons are pretty much the same. ...

SEC is as wide open as it’s been since 2007
Posted by tlsu15 on 11/4/24 at 7:23 am
LSU-Bama is always a huge one and could be an elimination game this year.
We can still see:
Ole Miss beat Georgia
Georgia beat Tennessee
Vandy pull off another top 25 win
Texas beat Texas A&M
Hugh Freeze come alive to finish Bama ...
re: Missed game and post game presser - Tyrell Ward didn’t play..any reason?
Posted by tlsu15 on 10/30/24 at 10:21 am
He had started in 48 games at two different SEC programs. So SEC coaches disagree with your assessment.
He’s not an all-conference level player, but most aren’t. ...
re: still a Nuss fan, he had a bad night

He felt the pressure of knowing he needed to score every possession in that 2nd half and it got to him. He’ll learn from it. It was a really bad half, but he’s been solid all season. ...

Ward is probably the best, most reliable offensive player on the team. And Fountain has played and started at times for two SEC program. I don’t know how else to define an SEC level player.
Why do our fans suck at basketball so much?...
