It always amazes me how quickly it happened. My dad used to work out there. We used to go to Lake Forest in 83 and 84. By 85, he switched jobs to metairie after two robberies at gunpoint.

I drove Chef Hwy once from Dong Phuong to where it meets the interstate. Never again. Its almost as bad as off Dowman.

Revillion dinner at a place like Arnauds. Maybe festive drinks at Sazerac Bar, Polo Lounge, or Carousel Bar

All 3 of those bars' lobbies are decked out for Christmas.
