Probably wasn't the best ever, but I was certainly impressed with the quality. Some restaurant in Canada... not the country, at Epcot. Steak was great, I was mixed on the rest of the menu.

Old Brandt’s on government across from where I think Doe’s is now. I remember it was a filet over a portabella mushroom with some sauce over it. Wife ordered it and was best steak I’ve ever only had one bite of.

Been trying to select only one. It would have to be at Dwight Stroud’s original place in Abbeville. Great steak sprayed with a caramel water and grilled in suet. I was in the kitchen with him and my boss who was a good friend of Dwight.

The high end steak houses are all comparable imo. Last Easter though I was unemployed and living in a sober living house. I was supposed to have Easter dinner at my ex wife's apartment with my 19 year old daughter. The morning of Easter the ex informed she "wasn't feeling well" and canceled the dinner. My daughter was very upset. I made reservations at Mastros Penthouse in Beverly Hills. We both had bone in filets, shared a tuna crudo appetizer, got salads and butter cake. We even paid $15 for a little piece of truffle butter for our steaks. The bill was $350 and we both only drank water . So that was the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant.

Charlie's Steakhouse in NOLA.

Have you been lately? We've had two awful experiences in a row. Nothing about the service or wait time, just not good steaks. But we still go back because of "that one time" we went and it was amazing.

Best restaurant steak I've ever had was at Ovide inside of Hotel Effie in Sandestin.

My fall back is Ruths Chris BR but I do remember Jack Sabins fondly. It was a high end steak place in BR located on Airline near Old Hammond.

I’ve heard my mom talk about when her and my dad would go . It was very nice from what she said.

No. Jimmy Kelly's in Nashville is terrible, 0/2 there (gift cards, wouldn't go back otherwise). Crap meat and they don't know how to season or cook it.

Hanger Steak @ Riel in Houston

Finally got over there last night and got the hanger steak. It was good for the price, but not best ever. I had never been before, gonna go back another day and try some other stuff on the menu.

Stroud’s

I was wondering when someone would mention Stroud’s.

Best steak I’ve ever had as well. Boy, do I miss that place. My grandfather and Mr. Stroud were old pals. I have many fond memories at his restaurant.
