re: Lafayette Area Recommendations - lilkibbi48
For Lafayette proper, if you want to eat where the locals eat and have a few weeks: 1) La Fonda (more about the atmosphere and drinks than the food) 2) Judice Inn for old school burger and chips. 3) Vestal is the newest, most popular spot now for more elevated food. 4) Poor Boys Riverside Inn ...

The Alabama week episode of The Path on LSU Gold had a clip where BK said that it was their first week where they had perfect attendance in class. Also, the first week with perfect participation regarding turning in some sort of daily check in sheet all the players use....

re: SEC Championship - Atlanta - Where to stay, what to do, etc. - lilkibbi48
We always stay in Midtown and have great experiences. There is a great (and affordable) Renaissance and an AC Hotel. Easy access to all of the parks, downtown, and to Virginia-Highlands neighborhood. There is a MARTA stop that takes you right to the stadium. We've also had luck with the hotel hav...

re: Where to stay in Atlanta for SEC championship? - lilkibbi48
We always stay at the Renaissance in Midtown. It is always much cheaper than other options and they have a full service restaurant on site. Easy walk to Midtown bars and also easy to get to the MARTA station that takes you downtown or to the airport. I also saw last night that AC Hotel in Midtown ha...

re: Does anyone believe that they have the traffic problems worked out? - lilkibbi48
We parked on S Stadium near Parker in one of the small parking lots between the Miller/Herget lake and the EA Sports building. Left the stadium as the band played the alma mater and walked straight to the car. It only took 15-20 minutes for me to make it to I-10 via Stanford. Very happy with it. ...

re: NYC with kids - lilkibbi48
Instead of taking the boring and long ferry to Statue of Liberty, my parents booked us this on our first trip to the city as kids and we still talk about it today. It briefly stops in front of the Statute of Liberty so you can see it and take all the pictures you want. Plus, the boat itself is aweso...

re: Is Tiger Stadium the only stadium with 5 yard number increments in CFB? - lilkibbi48
Though others have mimicked this through the years, LSU appears to be the only major college which currently (2021 season) paints numerals in increments of 5 yards on its field for football games.
https://lsusports.net/news/2021/10/15/why-does-lsu-football-paint-5-yard-numerals/ LS...

re: Best Steak (from a restaurant) You Have Ever Had - lilkibbi48
Charlie's Steakhouse in NOLA.
Have you been lately? We've had two awful experiences in a row. Nothing about the service or wait time, just not good steaks. But we still go back because of "that one time" we went and it was amazing. Best restaurant steak I've ever had was at Ov...

re: New Orleans Wedding - lilkibbi48
The Fulton Alley area has some good restaurants and bars
The restaurants in Fulton Alley are all a little touristy and nothing great. If you want food suggestions near Il Mercato/Uptown, try Turkey and the Wolf, Molly's Rise and Shine, or Stein's for casual lunch. For a solid...

re: All-inclusive resort in US - lilkibbi48
High Hampton is a great spot, although December may be a tough month to go with the weather. You get a nice sit down breakfast and a three course dinner included in your rate. The meals are extremely good but not pretentious. I'm not sure if alcohol is included, I don't believe it is. Free activi...

re: Pizza Domenica - lilkibbi48
Garlic knots with the whipped feta (maybe goat cheese?) are a must. One of the best apps in New Orleans. I like the classic pepperoni to be honest. People also love the clam. Also, ask for the trio of dipping sauces for the crust. Have not been to either the midcity or the Lakeview one....
