I don't know if it's the best I've ever had but it is really good. I go there during hunting season too

Oh yea. I forgot about bistecca fiorentina. That was definitely the best steak I ever had and it was at one of several restaurants in Florence that was known for it. Hands down the best by far.

The multiple beers probably make it better. Off subject, where do you hunt?

While I was perusing this thread, my steak was nearly on fire.

I do a fair steak.

Doe’s in Greenville. Just plain old porterhouse. I eat here 3-4 times a year. Take the remainder home, wrap in foil with butter, and pop it in the oven to heat it up and it’s still better than about anything you can find.

Hall’s in Charleston. Filet with their house Worcestershire.

Desi Vega… We got a blue cheese topped porterhouse one time that was really strong. Sides sucked though.

Folk's Folly in Memphis about 15 years back. Bone-in filet. Other than that Ruth's in BR is hard to beat.

55 day aged ribeye from Tony's in Houston was game changing for me. I bought those umai dry bags a few days later and have dry aged a couple whole cuts since then, and I'm eyeing a dedicated dry ager for the house.

Locally in the Jackson area probably Tico’s or Koestler Prime. Many others have already been mentioned in this thread. In the past year on the way to South Dakota for a pheasant hunt we stopped at Carmine’s in St. Louis and it looks was damn good.

I'm not trying to be rude, but if you are posting about a steak with two sides only costing $38 and then adding in about beers, I'm not sure how serious I can take you about great steaks.

I’m sure I would eat it and love it though.
