You are correct. I grew up in Willowwood acres . Mr Bill would let me fish in his pond when I was growing up. He was always nice and would come talk we were fishing.

Toyo RT’s have served me well. I will be on my 4th set shortly and have no reason to change. They ride quiet, wear good if you rotate them and have plenty traction for when I’m in the woods.
re: Women gets full body MRI.. Discovers she has non-ruptured aneurysm

My wife had a brain aneurysm in 2013. It was not ruptured and they found it doing a MRI for her migraines. It wasn’t the cause but glad they did it. It was repaired and she’s been good ever since. That was a tough few weeks between discovering it and getting it fixed. Every headache was wondering if it was rupturing.

Do you have them already? Partitions have been a bitch to get at anything approaching reasonable price
Check the Nosler website for factory seconds. I buy them all the time and haven’t found anything wrong with them that hurts accuracy. I got 50 of the 270 115 ballistic tips for $21. Last year I bought a 100 of the 308 180 grain accubonds for $68 shipped.
Here are the 200 gr partitions in 308. $31 for 50. Nosler

I have a 1987 Big Red but it’s not that clean. I’d love to restore it but probably never will. We use it around the house a bit to keep it running.

Good for Berry. I was glad to see he didn’t tear the car up doing a burnout.

My son just bought a 6.8 Spc upper for my AR. Sweet shooting little gun and pretty accurate.
I’d buy a 7mm08 and you have a gun for life.

Find out what distillery is releasing a hard to get bottle . Here lately BT has been randomly releasing special bottles.
There is a facebook page, what does buffalo trace have today. They post everyday and even goes as far as how long the lines(snakes) are.

Glad you mentioned that. We stopped at Churchill Downs for a tour and enjoyed that quite a bit.
Another place to stop is Evergreen liquors . They have just about anything you could want and have pours available of some rare bourbons.

My wife and I did the trail in October. We stayed on street off Whiskey Row and walked to most of the distilleries that are in that area. I enjoyed all of those with Old Forester being my favorite.
We did day trips to Bardstown and Frankfort to see Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace, Whiskey Thief, Lux Row, and Jim Beam.
The Buffalo Trace tour was best we went on. We just walked up that morning and they had some available. You can also shop in the gift shop to see what allocated bottles they have that day. Another cool place is Peerless. It’s walking distance off Whiskey Row and worth your time. We met the owner, Corky, and he had some interesting stories . We also got to dump a barrel of their double oak which was pretty cool.
One thing that we really enjoyed was the tour of the Kentucky cooperage. It’s cool to see how barrels are built , charred , and sent back once they are emptied. It was a great trip .

Tie a “bream killer “ under that popping bug. One of my old friends would fly fish with that combo in the spillway. He’d outfish us with that regularly .
The next thing I’d try is a black and chartreuse beetle spin. We caught lots of goggle eyes on that one.

Being retired and hunting during the week is a hard pass if I’m vetting a new member. Someone like that can and will increase the pressure on a property immensely.
The clubs that are advertising on facebook don’t care about that in my experience. They want the guy that brings cash, maybe has a tractor, and don’t care about much else. The deer are super pressured , there are too many members and turnover is high. This is what i experienced in one of those “clubs”. This may be a one off but I’d imagine it’s more of the norm than people realize. Members come and go each year so that no one gets to know anyone. It becomes every man for himself and that doesn’t make for a good experience
Getting some land to lease is definitely preferred if he can find something desirable.

He is correct. You will find a few clubs in Woodville/Centreville that “are looking for a few good members “ every year. There’s a reason for that.
re: Those who had surgery or procedures done
Posted by pdubya76 on 3/7/25 at 1:00 pm
They gave me an OxyContin before my knee replacement surgery. That had me feeling no pain.
I was on Tramadol and oxycodone after surgery for about a week. That kept the pain at bay but didn’t feel anything otherwise.

I was in a club for a few years to give the kids more areas to hunt . I got out 2 years ago and we strictly hunt our place at home now.
The grown men that act like kids over a deer or deer they saw on camera took all the fun out of it. The kids didn’t want to go anymore. The club was poorly managed and had way too many people. There’s a reason they look for members every year .

serious vetting in needed prior to membership...
This is the key. Make sure the individual is a good fit before just allowing them to join. A lot of club presidents/lease holders are in it for the cash. That’s the clubs that have to advertise on facebook for members. . The good clubs don’t have a large turnover every year.
re: Best area of Memphis to stay

We stayed in the Pyramid a couple years ago and enjoyed it. They run a free shuttle from the hotel to
Beale St.
The hotel is nice if you are into the outdoors and a rustic atmosphere.
We did the normal tourist stuff like Graceland, Beale Street, and hit some of the Bbq places.

Get someone you trust and have them help you remove the stands from the property. Inform the guys you want out that y’all will meet them so they can take back their property. Take pictures of stands before they are moved to prove you didn’t damage them . Inform them in writing that their rights to club property have been removed and retrieve gate keys from them or change the lock combinations.
