re: Annual Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Good Eats Thread

Hell I'd recommend different places than the usual list but every time I look them up they didn't make it and closed down. Wife's family enjoys going to Gulf Shores Steamer every trip.
I will add though we really enjoy going to the SanBar near steamers. Have a very good bushwaker & live music pl...

re: Can y’all post your crawfish boil recipes???

NO. I don't know how else to spell it out. I've done this 20+ years with great success. If I can't convince you, no big deal. Believe what you want and I'll keep doing what I do.
As far as the crawfish under, don't really care. They are already soaking under the top layer. Top layer cools off an...

Disagree with adding ice 100%
I'll stir some to release heat but throwing a 5-7 pound bag of ice definitely helps in dropping those top crawfish without stirring the entire time.
I'm not filling the entire 120 quart pot with water, 40 quarts (1/3) and adding a bag of ice to the top will defin...

Busy bee gas station in Live Oak, Florida. Like a half arse Buc-ee’s but has clean bathrooms and decent snack selection. Think it’s called the Taj Mastalls of Florida if I’m not mistaken. ...

Unleaded BBQ
Posted by Pirate0714 on 4/5/24 at 1:40 pm
Looks like this place is finished up. Drove by today and just wanted to try it out and see if anything changed up. Saw that the signage was down and covered up but the place was open with crews coming in and out. Lady at the counter said the BBQ never took off and are changing it up to a Pizza joint...
re: What’s the worst place you’ve ever had a bug bite?
Posted by Pirate0714 on 4/4/24 at 3:01 pm
My brother definitely. We went blackberry picking in shorts and got ate up by the red bugs. Mine were bad, but God almighty he had MULTIPLE bites on nut sack and pecker. Watching my mom trying to put anti itch cream on him was funnier than trying to bath a cat. ...

That a-hole is the main reason I opened a Roth IRA and started investing in S&P 500 for long term. Not because he recommended it, but because I lost my arse on all his picks and was totally new to investing. Had never clicked the Money board thread before and it was the first thread I ever read from...
re: Dollywood in spring? What are the lines like?
Posted by Pirate0714 on 3/25/24 at 9:24 am
Same with Disney. Get there as early as you can and hit biggest rides first. Was there for spring break 2 years ago. Morning wasn't crazy bad, but later in the day it got, the crazier the wait times were. Very clean park and my family very much enjoyed themselves. Just manage your expectations and m...

Hate to tell y’all this, but this happens when you get your vehicle serviced or repaired also. Information gets sent to your insurance company about mileage definitely and I’m pretty sure repairs done. ...
re: Inspection sticker/Brake tags Bill

All that stuff is supposed to be checked when getting a sticker. Lazy people checking.
Drivers license and insurance I agree from a monetary sense.
My point is people recklessly driving cars that can kill people. I’m more worried about that but I understand your point. ...
re: Inspection sticker/Brake tags Bill

As someone in the auto business, I’m on the fence about them. Failing a vehicle for a check engine/emission light is just stupid. THAT is a joke and should be removed to get a sticker. Im saying that knowing it will take away business from me.
On the other hand, I think people here don’t unders...

Bubba's burger is OK but not top 5 in BR area. You'd be sorely disappointed in your burger after you made the drive. It's OK for a local joint if you live in the area, but that's about it. ...
re: How to get started hunting squirrels?

Three Rivers / Richard K Yancy WMA not to far from you. Remember when we deer hunted there squirrels were very abundant. Plenty of fox and if I remember correctly, black squirrels in there as well. ...
