I rarely ever get steaks from a restaurant because I'm that pretentious guy that thinks he can cook it better than they can. With that being said, there is a restaurant in Greenville, AL called the Alabama Grill that we frequent during hunting season. You can get a 16 oz ribeye with two sides for $38 bucks. It is the best steak I have ever had at a restaurant and maybe ever had period. Anyone else had any good restaurant steaks?

Probably Ruth's Filet in BR. At that time, it was the best steak I'd ever had. But I was pretty young.

Like you, I don't see the point in ordering a steak at a restaurant any more since I can cook them just the way I like them at home. Also I know I'll most likely be disappointed while paying out the arse for something I don't like.

Daimond Grill can be hit/miss, but on one hit night, I had the best ribeye of my life there.

Every steak I’ve ever had at Ruth’s in Baton Rouge has been fantastic.

I rarely order steak in restaurants mainly because I would prefer something else, but every time I've had the veal chop at a Ruth's Chris, it's been terrific. I don't think they serve it any longer.

Flat iron from The Range in Denver
T-Bone from Old Hickory Steak House in Columbus, Mississippi

But yeah...agree with normally being disappointed ordering a steak at a restaurant.

All Natural Filet at SW Steakhouse in the Wynn Hotel Vegas.

The beef comes from Bakersfield California and is grass fed and finished on carrots. Amazing flavor, and cooked perfectly.

I'm gonna say this, even though I don't know that I can definitively say it was the best steak I ever had in a restaurant. The marginal differences in a properly cooked prime steak can be hard to distinguish, if there are any at all.

Bern's itself just being so over the top in everything, is what probably why I would put it as "best."

I find that even the best steaks, as said, are comparable. Hey use prime meat and every place uses a proprietary blend of some sort.

I loved the Del Frisco's in Midtown Manhattan when I lived there, and went for my 21st birthday when interning there.

I had a really good steak from Knife in Dallas last year. Nick and Sams always serves good food, even if I'm not a huge fan of the place itself.
