don't let the "chain restaurant" stigma fool ya, texas roadhouse can still make a fine steak. I'm sure there are good ones and bad ones.

I used to love going on Fridays for the Prime Rib.

Been a long time since I've been. I'm sure the food is decent but do they still do that peanuts on the floor thing?

Isn't that the peanut shells on the floor place?

If so, for that alone I enjoy it.

I'm a parent and I love Texas Roadhouse, and Longhorn, and Houston's, and Logan's, and Outback, and Saltgrass.

I am a sucker for mid-tier chain steakhouses because I know I can get an edible steak, a good baked potato, a nice salad, warm dinner rolls, and big tall cold mug of beer when I'm traveling and want a cheap option.

Steak makes me violently sick when I try and eat it. Terrible way to go through life.

Not the only place I’d eat by a long shot. But it’s a decent meal for a decent price. Especially with kiddos in tow.

ETA: Kent Taylor was a great guy too and really took care of his employees during COVID shutdowns. Sad when he passed.

I don't love Texas Roadhouse, but I sure like it. It was rated #12 out of 20 national steakhouse chains (including Ruth's Chris and Flemings) by Mashed in this YouTube video that has 5.1 million views. Check it out.

The one is Lafayette is constantly packed with people waiting outside for a table. About a year ago we had to do something nearby so we decided to go. We pulled up and the place was packed, it was 5:15pm on a Tuesday and we were told a 45-60 minute wait so we went elsewhere. I figured they must be doing something right to constantly be packed like that.

The Texas Roadhouse on the Westbank Expressway is has people spilling out of it almost every night. There is like a two hour wait on Friday and Saturday night. It makes no sense.

My 23 year old son loves it. My parents not so much. I enjoy it now and again. The wait at the one in Denham Springs always makes it a no go for me though.

Logan's Roadhouse sucked but TRH is pretty good. I drove past the one off of Siegen the other day and it looked like it's closed?
