I wish my in laws liked tx roadhouse, they think Red Lobster and Olive Garden are all there is. I try to get them to try other things, but they just don’t care.

Used to go there for the bread.

If I could have gotten away with it, I would have gone there, ordered a water.. Ate the bread and some peanuts. The food was average.

Rolls are incredible.

But, what I enjoy the most is this one waitress......she is blonde, absolutely gorgeous with an incredible smile. She's not a waif, very well-proportioned at probably 135-140 pounds. I want to marry her, but I'm married.

Next time I go, I promise to get a pic for all you sickos and, of course, for me.

Everytime we go with my in-laws to New Orleans to see my brother in law, my mother in law refuses to go anywhere else but Willie Mae's. She will legit throw a temper tantrum if we don't want to go. She's 61. There was a 2.5 hour wait once and she was not budging and our youngest was two at the time.

The food is good, but not OMG we have to go every time. The servers are down right rude though. They charged us full price for my two year old even though she wasn't eating chicken and we let her play with the sugar packets to keep her quiet and our server legit told us that we can't do that.

We no longer accompany them when they go out there.

So it’s like an Outback for those who can’t tolerate the exotic “Australian” dishes?

One day you may drive by Texas Roadhouse and wish your parents could join you for a meal there. Just one more time .....

It seems your attempt to be a food snob and pretend you have an elevated palate beyond common folk has failed.

So I say it's overrated based on the fact that people are waiting 2 hours to eat there. Maybe I just got a bad cut of meat, but that was my experience.

Manage your expectations. You get what you pay for. It’s not a high end steakhouse, but decent for the price. Like another poster pointed out, you can damn near get an average steak and sides for what you’d spend at Five Guys

Not a 5 guys fan, but I would rather have a hamburger from Red Robin (or a dozen other places) than a steak from Texas Roadhouse, and red Robin is cheaper. 100/100.

I get why it's popular, it just blows my mind that people are waiting more than 15 minutes to eat there.

Haha, that’s spot on. Love that description “rut circuit”. Got a feeling that those same people will be flooding Superior Grill and Chimes very shortly.

Add Charley G’s and Marcello’s to the “rut circuit”.

I don’t believe you.

If you ate out 200 times per year you’d have to spend an average of $100 per meal to reach “tens of thousands”. Unless you’re doing massive Client dinners.

Maybe they like it and they take you. cherish the time with them.

My Dad is over 10 years gone and mom is a feeble 96, so eating out with them is no longer an option. Go with them whenever you can and enjoy the fact they still can spend quality time with you.

I will eat anywhere with my Mom and did so when my Daddy was with us.

They chose other places, but no place mattered to me. I was glad to be with them.
