I'll eat it and I'm a guy that eats in top of the line steakhouses a lot for work and cooks good cuts at home.

It's not great, but if they get the temperature right it's perfectly fine because they salt the frick out of it. Good price point. In fact, everything there is a sodium bomb, but I love salt.

I spend tens of thousands of dollars annually on dining — mostly my employers money — and I am eating at a Michelin 3 star this weekend, but I am here to tell you that a steak dinner from TRH is a tremendous value and I take my kids a few times a year.

We have similar jobs and opinion on the TRH

Maybe the most overrated restaurant ive ever been to. Only been once and they gave me the wrong steak. Was too hungry to send it back, even though they offered.

Its not bad, but if I'm going out, would rather spend an extra few dollars and get something a lot better.

It's one of the more quality chains imo. I'd never choose it over a good high-end steakhouse obviously but looking online now, I can get a 12oz ribeye and 2 sides for $20 (16oz for $25). That's damn near Five Guys prices these days

Exactly. For its level, it punches well above its weight.

My mom does love it.

I am in Montana for a while at a hotel and there is one in the parking lot. For the price I thought it was a fine meal.

People bitching about their parents always give me an atomic eyeroll. Unless they are toxic, alcoholic, abusers, who beat you every night, count your blessings. I lost both parents when I was still a teen, with my other brothers and sisters we raised ourselves. Getting to have an adult relationship with your parents is a blessing. My FIL & MIL were very nice people and they treated me like a son, that was nice.

And your kids are learning from you how to treat you when you are old.

Also is this the thread where I admit I will seek out Outback Steakhouses when I'm in Middle America and don't know where to eat?

Consistent AS frick.

the rolls are money, but other than that, just a run of the mill steakhouse... not terrible, not great...

This is your reasoning for it being overrated?

Sounds like you have the emotional intelligence of a toddler.

Examples of something "a lot better" for "an extra few dollars"?
