Looks like the payload capacity of an Expedition is about 1,700 lbs.

Just the weight of those passengers alone was probably two-to-three times that.

that has to be the two vehicle accident fatality record. 15 is a lot dead for a 100 car pile up.

Terrible news, without a doubt.

There are bound to be several that were planning on that ride, but were told "No, sorry, y'all need to wait for the next uber".

I imagine that exceeded the design capabilities of the brakes on that Expedition.

Might need to do an update.

The El Centro Regional Medical Center said during a Tuesday news conference that there were 28 passengers inside an "SUV" that struck a semi-truck full of gravel.

Time for common sense large SUV reform.

My question is with 27 people in the Ford, what kind of midnight basketball were they trying to play with that many people?

Someone down-voted you, but the fact remains... that there are politicians who minimize this situation and thus exacerbate it, and those who try to end it.

The Border Patrol does their best, but yes, policies supported mostly by Democrats are why this incident occurred. Plenty of Republicans dropped the ball too, but it is IN FACT, the world-view of deranged, Leftist, Democrats why those people are dead.
