You can use some Elmer's school glue, or even a piece of scotch tape. Both will lock in the threads yet will be easily removed.

This must be one of those "Research Studies" submitted for publication to leftist journals, just to see if they'll publish it. Reminds me of the "Dog Park Raype Culture" paper submitted. AND PUBLISHED, a few years ago.

Thanks for the reminder. Out of curiosity, who decides if certain "statements, opinions, or views" are tolerable?

Seems to be a common thing in Mississippi where people from neighboring leases or hunting property drop off strays with food near deer stands. Guess they hope to ruin hunts to keep their deer numbers up.

Could be a coincidence, but multiple strays is questionable.

Then there's this goober...

who simply doesn't understand (or hasn't read) the medical history of these drugs. The long term effects for weight reduction in the morbidly obese has not been studied specifically, and these are the people receiving the shots.

When a big rig breaks down on I-10 in Baton Rouge, why isn't a heavy-duty wrecker contacted immediately instead of waiting 5 hours for their contracted wrecker to arrive from Lake Charles?

Termite "contracts" are simply insurance policies where the company agrees to pay for damage from termites. The fine print is the problem. There are dozens of restrictions which they use to deny any claim you have. Claims are uncommon, but rarely paid. The most common is "prior damage" or "unrelated damage".

Having a reputable local company treat your property on a regular schedule is much cheaper and more effective.
I've seen that map. Forgot it crosses Mt Jackson before Mt. Washington. Both are tough climbs.

Mid September is still within reasonable range. If she spent that much time on the AT she was ready for it.

Apparently this was not uncommon. We did the same. Certainly not the same group, since we're all still friends and talk abut it periodically.

It was terrifying, particularly when big trucks passed over. The whole thing shakes. I absolutely would not be capable of doing that now, though back then we had liquid courage fueling our stupidity.
On the average "normal" day, greater than 25% of US domestic flights are delayed. If bad weather in certain regions, add 15 TO 20%.

A "delayed" flight is any flight 15+ minutes beyond its scheduled arrival.

What is sounds like is this is no more than a high-normal day.

Based upon news reports, a few of the airline/TSA related unions are collectively suffering from TDS, and could very well be purposely causing disruptions.

I'm not a doctor (though I am a recreational gynecologist), so I'm no expert on this, but I don't believe the sky is falling yet.
FWIW, Mt. Washington is on the Appalachian Trail. If someone is hiking sections of the trail, they may not know the weather is expected to be dangerous. Northbound AT thru-hikers (Georgia to Maine) should long since have finished. They start around March, about 6 months on trail.

My guess is most, if not all of the rescued hikers were day or weekend hiking and were simply ignorant.

Fun Fact: The highest recorded wind speed on land was on Mt. Washington.

Disney is awesome. I've said for years, when I die, I want my remains scattered around Disneyland.

Also, I don't want to be cremated.

$725 million settlement from FB. Attorneys got over $400 millions in their cut (including expenses, probably at over $1000 per hour billing per attorney). Only a small, maybe 2% of "victims" will actually receive a cut. The remaining millions $ will probably be put in an account, with he attorneys drawing interest into perpetuity...

How well has this done long term? I've found items with sausage (specifically Red Beans & Rice) spoiled, I believe because of the sausage. I've avoided using sausage since then, but I might try again, after cutting the sausage thinner and browning much longer to render the fat out of it.

The fat is what holds moisture. Difficult to remove with sublimation alone. Rendering with heat should work...

The first question should be: "What are the damages"? Monetary? nope. Physical? nope. Emotional? Maybe. If so, guilty as charged and a sincere sounding apology is required.

freeze drier no question

While not for most, I've had my freeze dryer for 3 years now. I'm only running it about every other month now. Primarily used for making backpacking meals, and gifts at Christmas. Wife does a lot of skittles and candies for her coworkers.

Moneywise, I *might* have broke even by now, quality-wise my backpacking and camping meals are 5 star.

Well, "officially", maybe...

Probably closer to 40-50% of items are stolen. The only items "officially" stolen are the ones the police seize after the items, with serial number, is reported stolen.

All those tools in the pawnshop are stolen, most of the guns are not.
